Nem I just received a clothes order so I can send you some bags that I'd otherwise take to the supermarket to recycle!

I just found this thread, and I am in love. <3

I fully admit, I'm not the best at remembering to recycle, so I'm posting here as a sort of accountability. I bought a good reusable water bottle and I have started using my reusable grocery bag a little more, so that's something. :D

It's also much better quality tea for cheaper. If you simply must have teabags do a little research and figure out if their bags are compostable. Choice is a brand I use for that reason. A lot of other companies use glues or plastic infused paper. They look like they might compost but still leech toxins and are not actually biodegradable.

    I'm a little nervous.
I'm trying to organize a group to pick up trash beside the highway. I've never done this before, and now I'm waiting on a call from Tx DOT or something.
But it is needed desperately, and I want to do this. Hopefully I can get some people to join in :D

Good luck Adanys! I hope you get a good turnout! My city has a clean-up day every summer where you can sign up with a group and get assigned an area to pick up trash and stuff. I usually go with my church group. The effort covers the whole city, we get tshirts and there's a simple cookout provided after; it's really a lot of fun. I haven't gone in a couple years because of the baby, but he's old enough now that I can bring him with this year.
