So, I am listening to the Black tower podcast and they are rating the books by liking and they both have very different opinions on which books they like more/less.

So I am interested to read about how would you guys rate the books (including New Spring) :D

I am on my phone now, but when Iget home, I'm planning to make my own list! ^^

Oh that is interesting. :D I will have to think on it and make my list.

Hard question! This changes a lot for me actually, but right now it would be something along the lines of this:

    1. Lord of Chaos
    2. Knife of Dreams
    3. New Spring
    4. The Shadow Rising
    5. A Crown of Swords
    6. The Eye of the World
    7. The Gathering Storm
    8. The Fires of Heaven
    9. A Memory of Light
    10. Winter's Heart
    11. The Towers of Midnight
    12. The Great Hunt
    13. The Dragon Reborn
    14. The Crossroads of Twilight
    15. The Path of Daggers

It's been so long since I've read some of them that I honestly don't remember.

Hmmm okay not entirely sold on this ranking of mine, but so far I have this:

    1. The Shadow Rising
    2. The Fires of Heaven
    3. Lord of Chaos
    4. The Eye of the World
    5. New Spring
    6. A Crown of Swords
    7. The Dragon Reborn
    8. The Path of Daggers
    9. The Gathering Storm
    10. Winter’s Heart
    11. Towers of Midnight
    12. A Memory of Light
    13. The Great Hunt
    14. Knife of Dreams
    15. Crossroads of Twilight
I'd have to do a reread with this in mind to really be satisfied though. :shifty

    1. Memory of Light
    2. Towers of Midnight
    3. Shadows Rising.
    4. Eye of the World
    5. Knife of Dreams
    6. Lord of chaos
    7. Fires of Heaven
    8. Crown of Swords
    9. Dragon Reborn
    10. Great Hunt
    11. Gathering Storm
    12. Winters Heart
    13. Path of Daggers
    14. Crossroads of Twilight
The middle books is sort of random, but the top and bottom three are quite firm ^^

I notice a trend of Crossroads of Twilight being at the bottom or near the bottom of everyone's lists.

It is a very close tie for last with Knife of Dreams, oops, I mean that book titled "Only Faile Matters."

:lol That's a good description of Knife of Dreams, but it's high on my list because

Egwene in the Tower and Mat on the run

The Golden Crane rides for Tar'mon Gaidon :swordy

This is the book 1-14 so spoilers are not needed ;) But thank you for being careful :)

Yes, the parts with Egwene are good. And after three books of Perrin rescuing Faile, that is finally resoved in this book :look

I think Knife of Dreams feels like such a good book because it follows the three weakest books in the series, and especially after Crossroads of Twilight

Oh yes, that scene is another reason it's one of my favourties--how could I forget!

I wasn't thinking about what forum I was in :lol But I guess it makes sense since we're ranking all the books :p

Each of my top 5 can be my number 1 at this point.
My list would be something like this:

    1. Lord of Chaos (there are just so many things happening!)
    2. Shadow Rising (we get to learn a lot of new things about the Aiel!)
    3. Towers of Midnight (Aviendha's visit of Ruidean and saving of Moiraine)
    4. The Gathering Storm (just Egwene being awesome)
    5. Memory of Light (because of the last battle I guess)
    6. Crown of Swords (I just liked this one, I liked reading about the Aes Sedai, Elayne and Nyneave)
    7. The Eye of the world (because of nostalgia at this point I guess)
    8. Knife of Dreams (Finally stuff are hapening after two-three books of boredom)
    9. New Spring (because of Moiraine and Siuan, story is nothing that interesting)
    10. The Dragon Reborn (because the build up of finding out if Rand is the Dragon Reborn has finally paid up!)
    11. Winters Heart (the cleansing of Saidin)
    12. The Fires of Heaven (nothing really interesting, just the continuation of the Shadow Rising for me)
    13. The Great Hunt (I just didn't like the whole Portal Stone travel into another world)
    14. Path of Daggers (sooo boring)
    15. Crossroads of Twilight (I just....cannot even)

With that said though I do like each of the books and when I re-read them I do not to skip any of the parts! :D

That's a good question. Probably not. I don't feel like anything really happens. Just catch up since character POV are so out of sync.

Winter's Heart and Crossroads of Twilight are always where I get stuck on my re-reads.

I always liked Winter's Heart, but now I can't really remember why.

    Because of cleansing of saidin?

I just read Crossroads of Twilight and I had fond memories of it for some reason and now I'm like ... why did I like this book? And now in Knife of Dreams I feel like things are picking up (finally). I'm going to rate these as soon as I finish the series.

Hmm yeah maybe that was it. I also liked the first-sister ceremony.
