After the battle at Dumai's wells, Perrin sais he is supposed to be there for Rand twice, or Rand would go down to disaster.
He thinks (and it's probably true) that Dumai's Wells was the first time, but what was the second? I can't seem to remember when Perrin saved Rand a second time, helped him or prevented something from happening... At least not Dumai's wells style...
That was what Min had said, from one of her viewings. Twice Perrin had to be there, or Rand would go down to disaster. Once had been Dumai's Wells, maybe, but there was still another to come

Now, she said it had to be something he has to be close for, so it's likely not something as random as winning against the Shaido or the Sanchen or some such. It needs to be something close by, something personal.

Can someone refresh my memory please?

  1. He - Him
“When you two were together, I saw those fireflies and the darkness stronger than ever... But with the two of you in the same room, the fireflies were holding their own instead of being eaten faster than they can swarm, the way they do when you're alone. And there's something else I saw when you two were together. Twice he's going to have to be there, or you... If he's not, something bad will happen to you. Very bad. It will happen if he is not there, but nothing I saw said it won't because he is. It will be very bad, Rand.”

The first is of course at the end of Lord of Chaos.

The second as yet is unfulfilled, and is yet to come in Memory of Light

I thought it might have been the Dragonmount scene for a while but Brandon shot that down

[h=4]forkroot[/h] Min has said that Perrin would need to be there for Rand twice to save him from something very bad. Assuming Dumai's Wells was the first time (which BWS confirmed), was Perrin's presence in Tel'aran'rhiod at Dragonmount during Rand's time there the second time? Or, in another phrasing, has the second time happened yet?
[h=4]Brandon Sanderson[/h] No, that was not it. We have not yet seen the second time, but we will. (In other words, it's coming in A Memory of Light.)

I don't think so. If that'll be the case, it'll be very disappointing.
Min already had the vision about the 3 of them. If she had a seperate vision about Perrin specifically, I hope there's a reason for that.
