I totally called Rhed sedai "Rhed gaidin" in the thread announcing her bonding to Jeffan gaidin. It was like my second day here and for some reason I just ASSumed it was announcing them being raised to gaidin. Taught me to read more carefully... :facepalm

When I was a citizen, I think I accidentally called Sunri Gaidin of MDD "Sunri Sedai". In my defense, it was in chat - no avatars!

An Affiliation spot on the profile page where you can put personal information yourself is also possible. I can see people being lazy and not filling it in, but people who wanted to could.

I'll bring it up at our next admin meeting and bump this thread when I have an answer.

This is neat. I'm one who hardly ever had a signature, so it'd be nice to have that alternative. I actually turn off the signatures sometimes because they can be annoying, and I like a clean, easy to read forum without all the bling people like to show off.

An Affiliation profile field has been added to user profiles. It's self-managed; if you want it, you can go in and change it yourself. Use the "Edit Profile" option, and pick your rank/affiliation for display on your own "About Me" page.

I will be doing the next PSA in March, covering Technology, and I'll bring this up then rather than do a public announcement prior to it.

Well Toral Gaidin, unfortunately it was not an ambiguous avatar, it was a lack of attention to detail on my part. I typed "Belgareth SEDAI" instead of Belgareth GAIDIN. :facepalm Not my proudest moment.

Browns just chalk it up to our latest brownout and shrug it off. It's useful being a Brown Aes Sedai.

Ditto to the affiliation tag! I've been confused about someone's status/rank/affiliation and then had to hunt for the info in the Who's Who because the profiles don't have it.



I'm pretty sure I thought that Amarande Gaidin was a woman for a long time because I only ever saw his name in chat... :scratch :P

We had a problem at work with people being able to change their own titles - we had 7 "God"'s!
