Elya, did you read both endings? There's an alternate one. ^^

Anarie, thanks! I'll check that out in the morning! :)

I don't have the links for them, but here's a few I love.

Those Lacking Spines: If you consider yourself. Staring Vexen, Xaldin and Lexaeus as the main characters, these three (at the time) unloved Org XIII members embark on an epic journey to restore their companions to normal, and make fun of the entire Kingdom Hearts fanfiction community in the process.

Up in a Treehouse: Set two years after Final Fantasy VII, Sephiroth suddenly finds himself revived and thrust back into the live of the FFVIII cast. Personally, a rather good read in my opinion with some rather funny moments.

Hawke's Revenge: A surprisingly serious Advance Wars fanfic, and done in a rather epic fashion as Hawke, now in command of Black Hole, wages war on the rest of the world. Reveals some of the deepest secrets of Black Hole, and has a really epic, and satisfying ending.

I did, Marivea Sedai! The happy ending is nice, but it somehow feels fake, I don't know... Maybe 'cause I've read the other one first.
Do you know why there are two endings?

I think it's because both endings occurred to the author and they couldn't pick which one to use. :lol

My read may have been more of a skim :)
I'm sending myself a link so that I can read it at home when I have more time.

I haven't read Twilight, but I did read a Twilight fanfic a while back that I'm pretty sure is heaps better than Twilight could ever hope to be. It's called Luminosity and it follows the same basic story as the Twilight books, only in this version Bella is an intelligent, mature, independent person instead of a total idiot

YES. :joy Sandriel, you are officially ten more levels of awesome now. I adore Luminosity! :clap Haven't thought about it in ages, though.

And as someone who has read the Twilight books: indeed. Luminosity is incredibly well written and so much better than the actual series.

What about WoT fanfics? Any good ones?
There is this one called The Youngest Channeler on fanfiction.net
It's about a girl who has autism (not sure if I spelled this correctly), but can channel from a really young age, and how the Tower deals with it. Set before the WoT timeline, features young Romanda I think :D it's really good! Can't add the link right now as I'm on my phone, sorry

I started reading that one, Elya, and the end of chapter 8 made me tear up! <3

I do have a WoT fanfic that I've favorited somewhere....got to find it.

    Edit: found it!

    A Different Wheel.

An Age in which Tigraine still lived. Follow the journey of Rand as he gets pushed along a different road.

And I just read this one today:
    To Walk In The Light
Some say that there is no man who walks so deep in the Shadow that they could not be brought back to the Light. A man wakes up to the world after the Last Battle with no memory of his previous life. With the help of an Aes Sedai of the Yellow Ajah he sets out to find his past - only to find that sometimes, ignorance is bliss. AMoL spoilers, obviously. COMPLETED.

Doublepostnecropostingbump. :shifty Found an amazing AU Sherlock fic, a suuuuuper cool original online serial story, and an outstanding Star Trek TOS fic. Plus, there's a sequel to Princess of the Blacks now!

    A Very Sherlock Musical

    • So, you know how musicals are set in a world where people just burst into song every five minutes, and everyone around them automatically knows to join in with the tune and choreography? This fic is set in that world.John finds it extremely frustrating that Sherlock won't sing their theme song with him.
      Not Season 3-compliant

    Worm: A Web Serial

    • An introverted teenage girl with an unconventional superpower, Taylor goes out in costume to find escape from a deeply unhappy and frustrated civilian life. Her first attempt at taking down a supervillain sees her mistaken for one, thrusting her into the midst of the local ‘cape’ scene’s politics, unwritten rules, and ambiguous morals. As she risks life and limb, Taylor faces the dilemma of having to do the wrong things for the right reasons.

    Black Princess Ascendant

    • Sequel to "Princess of the Blacks". Last year, Jen had to contend with a deadly Tournament, a revived Dark Lord, a meddlesome Headmaster, and worst of all, reconciliation attempts by her parents. Surely her OWL year can't be anywhere near as complicated. Can it? fem!bisexual!Harry/Luna (it's happening this time, I promise!), powerful!dark!Harry, NOT for children!

    Gemini Setting

    • Star Trek TOS. Kirk/Spock. MC17. Almost any summary would spoiler this. It has a wonderfully believable plot line, excellent writing, and has an incredibly bittersweet ending.

Also, I'm working my way through your continuingtales.com website, Megana. Did you ever read the Dr Who/A Little Princess crossover?

Also still reading all of your recs, Elorenya. I'm enjoying them a great deal!

Eala, <3 the Paradigm of Uncertainty, so far. Haven't gotten around to the original fics yet.

    Webcomic!

I just started reading The Phoenix Requiem and so far the mysterious stranger dude is reminding me a lot of the 10th Doctor. :giggle

I remember beginning reading it a long time ago, after I had finished her other series, and compared to the others it was a bit too slow moving. Not boring, it was just that I eventually kinda forgot about it between updates. I should get back to read it one day.

It was on a list of completed stories, which is why I'm starting it now. ^^ I already thought though that it must have been a real pain to read while it was happening.

    Favourite fanfiction.net. fics:

Harry Potter and the Nighmares of Futures Past

Pretty much anything by Zenfrodo and Snowprincess in the Hardy Boys/Nany Drew section (seriously. Go read Resurrection. Now).

Star Trek: Leave It To Us.

Sorry about the no links, on my phone but will add them when I have enough time.

Some new favorites! (Honestly, I should probably just post the link to my bookmarks page on Ao3. :p)

    EreBORED
    - the best, crackiest thing ever. A chapter with Bilbo, Smaug, and some Old Toby pipeweed.

we must unite inside her walls or we'll crumble from within - absolutely wonderful.
"stories for the ladies of hogwarts, who cry, waver, giggle, trespass, and who deserve our respect all the same"

One of my favorite things of all time is fics about Susan Pevensie. She's treated reprehensibly in the later Narnia books, and it enrages me how she's thrown away for her femininity, for growing up, for choosing to be herself. These are some of my favorite Susan fics.

once a queen or king of Narnia, always a king or queen series

Susan Didn't Forget, She Chose To Live

    National Service Narnia/Torchwood

A Home For Every Season (Narnia/LotR crossover, featuring Susan & Eowyn friendship.)

And one of Polly Plummer! Endless Roads To Travel, Endless Lives to Live

    Underappreciated female characters ftw.

[Intercourse] Between the Living and the Dead - Hermione Granger/Severus Snape (sort of). Definitely no necrophilia going on, despite the title.

Detour - Donna Noble. Human plus. No memories. Awesome anyway.

    The Vampires of Venezuela

"The vampires of Venice did not die. Rosanna Calvierri was too determined to allow the race of Saturnynians--now reduced to herself and her children--to perish simply because of the Doctor."

A Fate Worse Than Death - Read at your own risk. Goes from hilarious to hilarious crack. Death from Discworld has a romance problem (some @$$h0l3 named Thanos keeps trying to woo him) so he goes to an unconscious Phil Coulson for help, and later, the Avengers. Discworld, Guardians of The Galaxy, & Avengers crossover.

Bell Tolls - a short, Avengers, horror piece on how Soulmates could go terribly, terribly wrong. PoV Steve Rogers.

With the Stars in our Rear-view Mirror - the adventures of the Doctor and a couple of 23rd century companions - Jim and Mandy. Doctor Who/Star Trek 2009

The Hero's Journey; or: What Jasper Sitwell Did Last Summer - Because like hell Jasper Sitwell was Hydra. Avengers/Welcome to Night Vale/Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
