I changed mine due to the fact I couldn't find the link to my old one when we switched over to the new style of site. Though my new one is the same character. Is this ok, or should I hunt a little harder?

I found Marec's old avatar on the old forums. Have PM'd him with the link to it and told him I can resize it for him.

Go ahead! As a citizen you're not required to ask permission to change your avatar, although we do ask that you keep the changes to a minimum because your avatar is what many people recognize you by.
