First thought...... WOW. What an adventure, what a journey!!!!!!!

Now, what happened to those characters we have grown to love and cheer for?

My 2 most notable characters that were missing from the book finale. Sulin, and my favorite Noble: Dobraine Taborwin. These 2 characters sacrificed so much for Rand, and remained loyal when others didn't. I am disappointed that they didnt get to be part of the grand finale :( I am curious as to whether this was an oversight by Brandon, or were they removed from the story through the editing process???

Sulin died in one of previous books, if I recall correctly. Shame about Dobraine, Sanderson said that he was meant to be included. I am wondering what became of Morgaze and Tallanwore, Basel Gil, and did Juilin and Uno survive the battle.

Sulin was still alive and kicking in Towers of M. And I agree with you as well. I missed the group from andor too. (Morgase and her entourage) I just hope that Harriet and her friends allow some authors to continue the adventure with some short stories.

Dobraine was going to be in, but Brandon Sanderson couldn't find somewhere to put him. He said so in the twitter thing yesterday. Sulin, unless it was a single line wasn't mentioned, but there are others like that, such as Alise, Corele, Joline and Basel Gill. We also see Tallaan, but not Merillile

Read THAT chapter about Elayne very carefully (in regards to Morgase).

Yes, my only qualm with the book was the lack of closure all around, since Harriet has made it clear there will be no more books.

I rather suspect that the idea with the Encyclopedia is to collect all the reader feedback about loose ends, then clean up as many as possible.

Tom Doherty is canny enough to know that he needs a hook like that to help sell it. Sanderson probably could have written another book and cleaned up a lot more loose ends, but I'm sure he wanted to stick to the original design and be done with the contract. The Encyclopedia is the compromise solution that lies somewhere between individual fans' preference to know everything about everything, and the practical considerations of wrapping the story up.

I want to know what happened to Amys after Aviendha killed Rhuarc. Also, what happened to Sorelea?

:embarassed: I didn't think about that. Knowing Aiel, she will probably just shrug, say something about meeting toh and waking up from the dream, and then proceed to forget about it.
