Posting an Introductions Thread!
The first thing you can do to say hello is to make a new thread all about you.
To do so, go back to the Introductions Forum and press the big grey button at the top that says, "+ Post New Thread". Stumped on what to write about? How about answering these questions?
Send a visitor message!
As a visitor, the only way to send a personal letter to someone is to send a "visitor message". To do this, click on the person's name, which will take you to their profile. There will be a section that says "Visitor Messages". Click that, and it will take you to a page where you can type your message.
These messages are public. You will gain the ability to send private messages when you become a citizen. (More information on this is located in the R&U thread.)
Someone sent me a visitor message. What do I do?
After you post an introductory thread, you can expect a member of the Welcoming Committee to send you a visitor message to say hello. The Welcoming Committee consists of a handful of our members who are nice enough to put time aside to help you get oriented. They volunteered for this and want to meet you, learn about you, and help you so please approach them if you have any questions!

Other Friendly Faces:
Other members of the website have also volunteered to be kind, patient, and welcoming resources for you. They have expressed that they want new members to talk to them - they want to meet people like you! Perhaps their message boxes are a little light lately and would like a conversation. A visitor message from you would warm their day and who knows, you might find a new best friend.
Any of these members are also great candidates for sponsors if you end up applying to join the Tower in the future. Friendships often take a long time to build and grow, so if you know that the Tower is your destination in the future, it's a good idea to start making connections now!
There are many people to meet and also many places to explore. Your next stop should probably be the Read & Respond thread if you haven't yet read it. Or maybe it's time to strike up a conversation!
Language Buddies:
In addition to the Welcoming Committee and Friendly Faces, there are also members that have volunteered to be Language Buddies. These kind and patient individuals are willing to help anyone having trouble with the English language, specifically on TarValon.Net. If there are posts, words, or phrases you do not understand, the Language Buddies are here to help! Even if you would just like practice communicating in English one-on-one, these people are happy to chat!

We are currently working on a vegetable garden as well as an English flower and herb garden.
