Hi everyone! I'm currently on a re-read of the series and it has lead me to look into this community! This morning I just finished the end of Book 9, some very exciting stuff! Before I say anything else on the books can I assume all have read them if on the forum? I would hate to spoil it for a new reader! I am based in Ireland, and a biomedical engineer by trade. My spare time is usually spent reading (predominantly fantasy books), playing console games, walking or yoga. Thanks @Ilverin Matriam and @Aleita Taviah! I'm pleasantly surprised to see replies so quickly, I had considered that maybe the community was mostly US timezone. Is there a portion based in Europe too? I studied Biomedical Engineering directly in college, worked in academia for a while and then a few years ago swapped over into industry. Its been a fun career so far! I'm totally open to any advice you can offer on how to begin here. There seems to be so much to read and get to know!
Our membership is scattered all over the world, so you're likely to find people here anytime of the day or night wherever you are. Best advice, is just to jump in if you see something that interests you. We don't bite. There's a lot of information but FAQ here in Ask the White Tower can answer some of your immediate questions. A month or so ago, I was as excited as my teenage self the first time I read a specific bit in the middle of the series with Lan. What a man! I really like Egwene. I recognize she isn't perfect, but her story ark is amazing and I admire her determination.
