I just wanted to leave a quick note. I've been a member here for almost 11 years, on and off. I joined when I was 14. At the end of high school, I was going through a lot of personal things, and I took it out on people at the site. I offended and hurt many people, and I left with a giant middle finger to many, many people, thinking I'd never return. I gave up my SMhood and everything, and just peaced.

I came back a year later and had to start from scratch. Almost all offenses were forgiven and forgotten, and I've tried to make up with people who were interested in making up (and succeeded for the most part, I think).

People screw up a lot, and sometimes, you burn bridges you can't fix. It sucks, but you have to roll with the punches and take responsibility for what's gone, and rejoice in what you can fix. All you can really do is try again better next time.

Welcome back, and send me a PM if you ever need to talk something out with someone who's been through this!

More than anything, I was hurt when you left, especially after Eli and I secured a place for you at Fall Ball. I'm still a bit hurt, to tell you the truth. I also thought you'd come back eventually, but I didn't expect it to be nearly this soon.

I was sad when our friendship ended, but I could see at the time that there was nothing I could do to fix it, and I felt helpless.

I don't know if/how our friendship will work out in the future, but as far as your membership goes here, Asandra said it best:

I did this here on the site a few years ago (though I didn't entirely leave like Asandra did).

And luckily, this happened for me, too.

Asandra is wise. Lots of people have done far worse things than leave the site how you did, and they have been accepted back into the community. Tar Valon is where I first experienced forgiveness. You'll find it, too.
