Honestly, I'm fairly certain that Red Eagle's rights to WoT ran out a few years ago which means Team Jordan could be exploring alternate avenues.

Well I doubt HBO will pick up the glove. This series couldn't possibly be done properly on a 10-13 episodes format.
I still say that a 3D animated series like Clone Wars or the old Starship Troopers is the only realistic way to do this.

Netflix, it would let the series creators have control, seasons would be as long as they need to be, and the netflixes could use an action series to match with the original content they have now.

Do they have the resources to pull off something this big? If it's CGI maybe, but live film?

They're doing Orange is the New Black and House of Cards simultaneously, and maybe more I don't know about. It might not be Game of Thrones level effects and costumes, but I think they could do it well.

They're filming Marco Polo, Narcos, Marvel’s Daredevil, House of Cards, Orange is the New Black, Sense 8, Grace and Frankie, and an Untitled series simultaneously at the moment. I feel like they could easily pull off a WoT series

Yeah sure if they can't just let one of the movie deals expire, my only issue with a WoT series is, who do you get to play Thom you need someone old..who won't Die in the decade of production :p

Ilyana Sedai you also forgot Hemlock Grove is a series they do, which has some CGI to it.

You could just always get someone who LOOKS old but isn't...or use makeup to age them. Theatre makeup can do some absolutely amazing things (like make high schoolers look old).

    ^that.
They'll probably need someone with some acrobatic skill and put heavy makeup on him.

I would prefer to see a cartoon done well than a poorly done live action. Hokey CGI could ruin the movie! But I would really be interested in a Studio Ghibli version of WOT.

I totally agree with this idea. I'm sure something could be worked out to keep it decent.

    Yes that something is called

"Hiring me because I have some nifty ideas for cool things to do"

Like, when Moraine is doing that bit about Manethran in the first book, instead of just having her standing and speaking..you shift to a flashback of the actual story..but done in animation.

Of course you hire Genndy Tartakovsky to do it.
