Just finished book #3, and I LOVED the series. I can't remember when I was last so suprised by how a book ended. I really didn't see it coming. Just ordered the rest of Sanderson's books from Amazon, even if I enjoy them half as much as Mistborn it'll be worth a read. Great Series!

I just finished the series this morning, also. Overall, I liked the series and am glad to have read it. The ending, however, is a bit of a hit or miss, and I am still a bit undecided about how I feel. It certainly surprised me, though, and I definitely never saw it coming. More in spoiler...

[spoiler:1mbabdyh]I guess it all makes sense why there was so much about Sazed and his personal quest to find a religion. I was certainly sad that Vin and Elend died, but if anyone is the HoA, Sazed is probably the most deserving. The part I don't like, however, is about Spook. I never liked him since Book 1, and to have him come out at the end, getting the girl, becoming a mistborn, and probably one of the main leaders in the new land kind of peeved me. I don't think he was deserving of all of that. He probably deserved the girl, but I don't like him as a leader. This part about Spook is probably my biggest gripe with the ending.[/spoiler:1mbabdyh]

[spoiler:14skhuo1]Although the whole thing with him becoming numb after dropping his flared tin so he could stand walking into the fire.

now that was just awesome[/spoiler:14skhuo1]

[spoiler:y7fmfz28]I felt the same way about Spook for almost all of book #3, but I really thought he redeemed himself in the end, and showed he could be a leader. He'll also have Ham and Breeze there to keep him in check :)[/spoiler:y7fmfz28]

Sorry if this is a bit off topic, but I just finished Warbreaker. I really liked it. A lot. Very interesting magic system and the characters were great. There were quite a few nice twists as well. I definitely liked it a lot better than MIstborn 2 and 3. Very very close to MIstborn 1, although Warbreaker might have a slight edge due to the unexpected humor. I wish this would become a series, although what Sanderson has said makes me doubt it.

But yeah, Warbreaker is definitely a well recommended read.

From what I've read, Warbreaker will actually get a sequel after he's done with WoT and his other current project.

I read Mistborn first out of any of Brandon Sanderson's books, mostly because I got it for free from the WoT Track Room at DragonCon just after it had been announced that he'd be the one finishing the series. I've now read pretty much all of the books he's gotten published so far, and they all rock. Even Elantris.

Lyinar is correct....Brandon said a few weeks ago that Warbreaker will get a sequel when other projects are done.

As soon as I heard he was finishing WoT I got Elantris and the 1st Mistborn. I think I liked Mistborn better and I just finished a re-read of it and started on the second one last night. I got Warbreaker and loved it too. I have also read all of his Alcatraz books and I love them....highly recommend them for some light, humorous reading and if you have kids aged about 9-12.

I may be wrong but I believe I overheard him say Way of Kings is going to be a long series....I got to listen to him read the first chapter of this book and it sounds pretty good. Looking forward to it's release in August.

I polished off Elantris over the weekend, and it was very interesting.

Enjoyed Mistborn more obviously, but it was still very good.

I'll have to buy Warbreaker now I guess

I really enjoyed Mistborn! I just picked up Warbreaker and will be starting that after my WoT read through is done (very very close).

I am sooooon done with book 3. I've really liked the series so far, but it all depends on the ending!! :P

Also, Spook is weird. :look:

Keriada (I hope I'm not slaughtering her name) introduced me to these books. They were the best thing I've read in years.

I was so pleasantly surprised by the twists in the story (meaning I enjoyed both the fact that I didn't see the twists coming and that the twists were very good).

I actually thought the weakest part of the story was the end, but the rest was amazing.

I'm well past the middle of the second book, and I must say I am not sure what to think about the way things are heading.

I'm on book 2. Have been waiting to finish book 2 in ASOIAF which should be sometime in the next 3 days. Then I'll be able to knock out book 2. Followed by book 3.

[spoiler:grfezje5]I would have been more ok with it if it hadn't ended all fairytale like, with the green fields and flowers and everyone ending up in the same place, like they'd just woken up from a bad dream or something.[/spoiler:grfezje5]
