Well after reading The Gathering Storm, I of course had to check out the rest of Sandersons stuff.

And I've just gotton through book 3 of Mistborn

And wow was I impressed.

Not sure how Sanderson managed to slip by me before, it wasn't easy to get a hold of his books actually. The first one seems to have been re-released here, but I had to search around for the others (got them off the net in the end).

Best books I've read in a while actually, very very impressive. Totally didn't see the end coming, and I'm usually pretty good at things like that Glad the end of WoT is in his hands.

I've picked up Elantris now and will be starting it tonight.

Elantris is enjoyable, but to me, it is obviously an earlier book. Oddly, Warbreaker didn't give me that feeling.

I *just* started reading Mistborn today! :) I hated Elantris so I have no high expectations.

I think the first book will highly exceed you expectations :)

I prefer Elantris over Mistborn. I didn't like the magic system in Mistborn, and I especially hated all the religion in it. And finally making one of the main characters to god - no, thanks.

Almost done with the "Well of Ascension" now. The beginning kinda sucked, but it certainly picked up about 2/3 through and now it's getting good again. At the beginning, Elend was really annoying me by being such a wimpy king. Twindyl FTW! Vin was also beginning to annoy me by falling for the other mistborn...gahhh, stupid girl!

I didn't like Elantris terribly much - it's was ok. Not bad, not good. Mistborn I adored! <3 Twindwyl is amazing! I can't imagine how she survived all those years, poor lady. :brown-blink:

yeah agreed Hero of Ages kicked arse big time.

I'm enjoying Elantris so far, still pretty early yet still working out whats going on.

Lots of invented words to get your head around

I have read Elantris and book 1 of the Mistborn series. I've gotten halfways through the second book of the Mistborn series too, but needed a change, so I'm now reading The Gathering Storm. Also bought Warbreaker last week, so I'll read that when I'm done with TGS and the Mistborn series.

Aww, how can you not like Vin? I thought she was a great character. She only got a bit annoying about halfway through the 2nd book. So did Elend.

[spoiler:7jzlpw0g]I liked Sazed until book 3. There, he was just moping around being depressed and feeling sorry for himself. However, I liked the non-wimpy Elend much better in book 3. A king should be willing to kill, which the old Elend was not able to do. I never liked Cett, however. I think Vin should've just killed him.[/spoiler:7jzlpw0g]
