... are the 'solidier companys'? I'm not sure if this is the right term?
What are they named, and do they have colours?

I am new and not sure if I should ask all this questions in visitor messages or if I just keep them in my mind and start asking, when I'm allowed to go to the tower? :scratch

The system of ajahs and 'fighters' isn't new for me. I know a similar system from elsewhere. But there are many difference of course. So I try to find out... how everything works here...

MDD and DM are two of our four Companies. The Companies are Community Groups set up on the Gaidin path, in the same way that Ajahs are the choices on an Aes Sedai path. While the Companies are not something seen in the books, the idea of brotherhoods binding the Gaidin to more than their Aes Sedai is a popular one.

Each Company has a central theme such as brain, brawn, heart and spirit but like the Ajahs it is the people in them that can give each group their feel.

Pretty much everyone refers to the companies with their abbreviations. DM, MDD, SDS, and VC. If I was asked I would NOT be able to tell you the full names.

I think that sounds very good. I liked to know the translations, too. But I until know I was to lazy to start looking up for old tongue words..

Do you know such kind of things because you are Director of Research? And what does it mean, that you have got this 'job'?

I'm don't know it because I'm Director of Research, though it does show one of the traits you might like in a Director of Research :geek

The Director of Research and Records is an Executive role and I'm responsible for a department that helps to maintain our Library and other records. You should take a few minutes to read our Membership Manuals to familiarise yourself with the site structure
