Was the walk a success? I think of you and your family often.
Yeah thank you all the walking paid off because I wasn't in any physical pain during the walk, it was me, my husband, my sister and her two daughters and my sisters friend. We're already planning for next year and different fundraising events. This year so far David's team is #1 in the area
We're going to be working with the current leadership of the walk to organize things in the year ahead and probably getting on the council
Oh also the hospital he was born in is having a memorial dinner (every year in Oct they do this for any babies that pass away) and we're bringing all the hats and such with us when we go, that's on the 20th so if anyone made hats please pm me for my address <3
What a wonderful event! I just got license plates to support the NICU where my son was born. I am not talented at hat making, but I hope it's a lovely meaningful night.
If anyone has hats please let me know, I'm getting together 30 giftbags for the nicu and for people in my situation that I'll be dropping off in the next couple weeks and if I can add hats that would be great x I'm not fast or good enough at knitting to make that many so soon. But if anyone had made any and want to send them I can pm you my address
I’d just like to add how meaningful the hats are. I’ve had two sons 7 years apart and both were premature. Each had a hand made hat waiting for him with a little note.
indeed! My little boy was born at 31 weeks and hats were the only thing we could put on him at first. When I was barely even allowed to touch him, being able to pick out a hat for him was incredibly special.
Alora Gaidin, it’s a brave and kind thing to do.
Yes! First son 34 weeks, second son 30 weeks.
30 NICU gift bags and cards given today
You're my hero.
Not gonna lie, I cried. But I did get to give 2 out personally so it was good to see my little one is making people happy
Wonderful! What a difference you have made!
