Maybe by the time it's time to get signed up for this I'll have met the locals here to be verified LOL

Hey Nebka, tonight I am judging a dice masters tournament at our local game store. The wife will be participating. So if you want to swing by and say hi in a safe place feel free. It's not to far from where you live. At least from what I remember you telling me where you live. Once I get it going, I should have plenty of time to chat.

I just want to point out that meeting IRL isn't strictly speaking necessary to be Made Real. A voice call with your membership admin is sufficient, and if you aren't Made Real when you register for the event, we have you Made Real before you attend. :)

That's quite aside from the point that I'm not sure Brandon can vouch for anyone else's normality. :rolleyes

I refuse to miss a party in my home state!!! Barring major issues with timing, I will be there!

I'm currently trying to figure out if this is in our budget for next year.
Does anyone from the locals (or anyone who has booked an extra stay before) know a good place for an extended stay? We're looking for something cheap, but nice located somewhere where it's quiet and where you can go hiking (Yes, in the middle of nowhere is just fine for us ;) ).

I'd be happy to get PMs with any advice you might have :)

I've always loved Durango, but it's 7 hours by car from estes park. Lots of cheap lodging there. Silverton is attached by rail, which is a fun day trip to one of the smallest towns in Colorado.

The quietest and most beautiful place I know of in Colorado is creede.

If price and bring in the middle of nowhere is priority, check out ooray.

This is a strong maybe for me. My last Anni was in Estes Park, so it makes a good returning.

Thanks! I'll look into that.
I also found out that renting a small camper is actually not that expensive. I mean... we will need a rental car anyway, so why not renting one in which you could sleep :look:
