Mangas were popular when I was in school. My friend turned me onto them with Inuyasha mangas. I did not enjoy the show but the books were amazing!

Love Hina and Fruits Basket where my gateway drug. Both very good (for the type of manga they are). If you want a more mature one, check out Kamiyadori. It isn't long but I loved every moment of it. For more modern ones, I like Toriko and Food Wars. The hard copies of Food Wars have a lot of recipes for the food in them.

Is that the one where the main characters are totally overpowered from the get go instead of growing stronger as time goes on? :look

Yes they are, I like to see the amount of destruction they can inflict right at the start, they're totally badass. Kind of reminds of the manga Fairy Tail where Natsu, one of the main characters, destroys the port and defeat the villains in volumes 1.

I managed to collect all the Legend of Zelda manga adaptations back when I was in high school, fairly decent stuff. Beyond that I've read a bit, but I've forgotten most of the titles, and nothing new and probably nothing famous.
