Hello, fellow book nerds! Beloved legion of word junkies, compatriots in the quest for More Books Always.

I was wondering if anyone else was a member of the Life's Library program? They have recommended amazing books so far, and all profits go to Partners in Health (a USA charity that works on public health issues all over the world).

If so, which books have been your favorite? I am a couple books behind (studying slowed me down), but so far my favorite has been the first one I got - The House of the Spirits. The way it is written and the overall story actually brought me to tears a couple times. I don't know if anyone has ever had the kind of moment where you have to re-read the same line or passage over and over because you are just marveling at the prose and reveling in the beauty of it, but this book is chock full of it. I would 100% recommend anything by Isabelle Allende - she is one of my fav authors after reading this.

I am currently reading The Summer Book, by Tove Janssen, and it is SO good. Up to this point, I have loved all the books. It is run by a couple of outstanding authors (John Green [yes - the Fault in Our Stars and Looking for Alaska John Green] and Rosiana Halse Rojas), so it is no surprise that they pick wonderful books.

Anyway, let me know! The books have been a huge departure from the high-fantasy WoT type books that I (and probably a lot of you) typically read, but broadening my horizons in this way has been really gratifying.
