I remember reading starting this series in high school and loved it, but never finished it. Has anyone gotten through all 4 acts?

There were four parts? :look All I remember is four really good books I first read and loved as a kid, and then lots of books about Rhodry (pretty much the least interesting character from the first quartet) I read in my teens until I realised I didn't particularly enjoy them and stopped. That was after... 13, I think? *checks Goodreads* Ah, 11. Out of 15. So nope, not me. :lol

Apparently, the last act is everyone reincarnated given a final chance at love/life. THAT's what I want to get to, so I must slog through Rhodry, I guess :lol

:eek If I'd known that, I might not have given up! Now I'd have to go through the rest of it again, first, because I hardly remember anything of 5-11, and I just don't think I'm prepared to do that when there are so many other things to read. But that does sound like a good reason to stick with it!

With the settlement $ I got from Amazon, I downloaded the first 3 books. I think I have 4 and 5 in paperback somewhere I got at a used bookstore which was going out of business. I don't live near a library anymore :-)cry ) so I'll have to stalk the used bookstores when I go into town.

I don't remember much at all, so it's like starting fresh!

    No libraries nearby? The horror!!!

Rereading stuff when you've basically forgotten them is the best. And the first four really are good (I really liked both Jill and Nevyn). The rest... well, it was 13 years ago :look; maybe I'd feel differently about them now? I think knowing that the story shifts focus and not expecting more of the same actually would make a difference (less disappointment, anyway :p).

I've read them all! Started reading them in high school, stopped when I realized they weren't all out yet and that she hadn't published any new ones for quite a few years. Then I found them all at Powell's when I was in the States a few years later and bought them and started again. Love them!

I'm about a quarter of the way through book one and the nostalgia is strong!

I'm in the same boat as you. I remember reading it in high school and I remember liking it but I cannot remember any specifics.

There is jewelry based on the series on Etsy. I'll look for a link.
