A belated "Welcome to Team TarValonNet!", Dovienya Sedai, Chalisea Sedai, Martinis, and Myriam
Thanks @Polegnyn Nemeara
So, I joined. Not sure if I will remember to activate it the tracking, but I'll try
Thanks so much, Polegnyn! I don't know what to do..I always leave PokemonGo running when I go for walks to help hatch eggs.... and I don't think I can do both... :/
Why do you think you can't do both? Battery? Data? Or do you think both won't work at the same time? Charity miles runs in the background. I will often (if I remember) have it on while I hatch eggs, and it works fine.
This is one of three apps I have running while I'm out walking or running. It's definitely not a drain on anything that I've noticed
Thanks for the warm welcome, @Polegnyn Nemeara
Ooooo, great info, Dnae! I didn't know you could run both at the same time.
I actually used to run those two with another, local charity walking app specifically for animal shelters (called resQwalk) but three at once was too big a battery drain, and ResQwalk was a little buggy.
I just joined up! I do a lot of walking while playing Pokemon.
Joined I walk a lot at work and while playing Pokémon go this should be fun
I see what everyone is talking about regarding battery life while playing Pokemon Go and earning miles via CharityMiles. My phone went from full charge to 5% in a matter of a couple hours. That activity only included collecting items at pokestops.
Eta: Welcome to Team TarValonNet regardless, Aryawnah Sedai and Adaria
I have a battery charger that I usually use, so I'm sure I'll be fine.
I too carry a battery charger so it will all be good
Time to charge my portable charger! I didn't realize it was OK to run the charity app in the background. Yay, thank you for the information Dnae Gaidin.
You're welcome! I keep my portable battery in my car, because my car is neat in that it will charge devices while it's not running, so I just charge up my battery while I'm at work.
