Is WOT alone worth the subscription to Amazon?

The Amazon Originals are pretty good. And they have a lot of old series that are bingeable for nostalgia. It's one of those things that can be worth subscribing for short periods of time and just cancel when boredom hits.

For me, it would be worth it. I have had Prime for like 10+ years at this point and I love it. If you don't care about the perks/shows/movies that people have mentioned here, maybe wait to see if they are going to do a weekly release or an all at once dump like usual. If they do it all at once, you could subscribe for one month and binge watch it maybe? I think they do monthly subscriptions now, so that could work?

Yes they also do free trials. I just did one recently. So you could wait and they see if you can get a free trial period. :)

I'll be subscribing for however long the show is on and then immediately canceling it. I hate giving Amazon my money but for WoT I'll give them my money for two months a year.

Will still not be purchasing anything else from them though.

So I never order from Amazon and the only things I watch on Netflix are Umbrella Academy and Altered Carbon. However, I heard Prime has Doctor Who... can anyone confirm this? Doctor Who and WoT would definitely qualify as worth it to me.:)

In the USA, Prime lost the streaming rights to Doctor Who at the beginning of 2020. Now you would have to purchase episodes / seasons to watch it there. Supposedly it's all included on HBO max now. Alternatively it looks like seasons 1-10 of modern Who are on netflix in the UK so any decent VPN should let you watch that without resorting to complete piracy.

Luckily Pluto is free and has an entire Classic Who channel:laugh:. What else is on Prime worth watching?:scratch
  • I loved The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
  • Two of my friends are obsessed with The Expanse
  • I myself (and everyone I've introduced to it) has absolutely loved Carnival Row

Yeah, Supernatural is on Netflix in the US and I don't think it's on Prime? Haven't confirmed that though.

Well, the Westworld creators are working on the Fallout TV Show on Amazon Prime. It's like Amazon knew I was undecided and decided to up the ante.

Wheel of time and LOTR pretty cool! I hope they can pull both off and do excellent jobs with both. Who are the directors? I can't see anyone but Peter Jackson for anything LOTR. WOT I don't know. Will probably get it for both shows although some decent others are also on there but none I am thrilled with but will try recommendations. If both series turn out terrible then won't keep it.
