So I find myself here not for the first time but one in which I have a semblance of an idea of what to do. I visited Tarvalon.net years ago trying to find as much information about the Wheel as I could( which I'm sure applies to quite a few people here). At the time I misunderstood what this community was so I drifted away. It was recently (around a week ago in reality) that I was encouraged quite emphatically to visit Tar Valon. At the time I thought I had never been here before only to find that I couldn't create an account because I already had one. So I spent the last week in contact with Sa'areah Sedai in which she so graciously assisted in fixing my account. So now I will move on to the recommended introductory statements.

My original favorite was always Perrin. Whenever he had a goal he would ficus on it and do whatever necessary to see it accomplished even if it was detrimental to him. This always resonated with me on a personal level. Now it is Androl because finally there was a character that thought in three dimensions and understood the potential of manipulating gateways and physics.

How I found Tar Valon I sort of covered this already but I was told that even a part of the summer court was welcome here. :)

What do I do? Currently I work as a shipping and receiving coordinator at a business (im not technically allowed to say what we do). But I have recently found out that I like making costumes (even though im not very good...yet)

I am from the vast and wondrous land of Indiana!!! Unfortunately I am only uni-lingual.

My favorite series besides tWOT would probably be the Dresden Files. Adding to this my favorite magic system is Feruchemy and Allomancy specifically twin born Iron ferring pewter allomancer.

so comes the end of my introduction. I apologize if it was a bit long winded I started typing and this kind of happened.

Welcome! You'll find many fans of the Dresden Files here as well. I recently started the first book, but am not far enough into it to decide whether I like it or not.

I fell in love with the series almost immediately. However I have found the common belief is that the series is at its best after book three and four thats when most of the main cast has been introduced.

I really need to give Dresden another try. It wasn't bad, but I just wasn't all that into it. But it's been five-ish years, so I should try again. :P

It turns out I may not be the best at telling time I apparently miss used the word years. I guess it should just be year.

Ah, yep. Yes, they do. :giggle

Hello and welcome! I also am a big fan of the Dresden Files. I actually read the series at the same time I read Wheel of Time, alternating between books until both series were done. (probably why it took two years) So I'll always feel a weird connection between the two. I also really love Mistborn, and Brandon Sanderson is what drew me to WoT in the first place.

Welcome to Tar Valon, Aramin! I look forward to getting to know you. :pleased-1:

I admit, I didn't like Dresden Files. I read the first two books years ago, and was unimpressed. I gave them another try a few years ago and gave up after two books again. :embarassed:

Summer court? Do they mean...

the summer court thing came from this last jordancon and in the Dresden files panel we had a trivia contest and I was part of summer court and one of the people that told me to come here was on winter court. They were a bit salty that summer was victorious.
