As many of you may have seen announced at, Wilson Grooms has shared that he is battling cancer. Wilson is an incredible member of the Team Jordan family and the Wheel of Time community. This especially impacts his immediate family, many of whom are members of our site, including @Mellaine Murrai who is graciously coordinating the information and support for her family. Please do not contact any additional family members even with the best intentions as they are focused on supporting each other at this time.

There are some actions available to express our love and support to Wilson and his family. If interested, here are two things you can do:
    • Join the "Support Squad" by sharing an image: Create a message of support on a poster board or other visual media and take a photo to be shared with Wilson as part of a collection. Please post these in this thread by Friday, December 18th at the latest so they can be collected. If you would like to purchase a Throat Cancer Support Squad shirt (such as this: for your photo, that would be wonderful (though availability may not work with the timeline).
    • 24 hours of Support: Participate in a global 24 hour wave of light/prayer/positive thoughts starting in your own time zone at 7pm on December 20th. All support at any time is certainly welcome, but a coordinated effort on across the globe on one day could result in a unbroken surge of support.
Please reply here with any questions and messages of support. Wilson is at the heart of this community, and there is no one more deserving of our admiration and encouragement.

I am so sorry to hear of Wilson's battle with Cancer. As a Cancer survivor, I can only say, that miracles happen. Stay strong, stay positive and laugh a lot with family and friends. Cancer sucks. The cure sucks. The battle sucks. Just stick with it my friend and know all will be okay. Give hugs, smiles, write, paint, explore, just LIVE! Praying for you and yours.

Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Though it may seem dark, you are not alone. Surround yourself with love and encouragement.
