They should end seasons after something big happening, I feel like...
- So Season 1 ends after book 1, because book 1 should take a long time to introduce the world to the viewers.
- But then maybe Season 2 can sum up books 2 and 3 into one and end when Rand gets Callandor.
- I think Book 4 is also diverse enough and introduces a lot of new things to be made into its own season... but maybe they can include book 5 into this too, like the last few episodes.
- Book 6 should totally be its own season! OMG!
.... and so on

Obviously it's gonna happen however the makers decide, I kind of feel like they will add some extra things here and there to keep the viewers who haven't read WoT interested.

I'm just hoping that Amazon drops the whole season at a time.

I think the first three books are good as one season each. They have a beginning, middle part, and a dramatic end.

Is Amazon Prime video not available outside of the US?

Books 1-3 all have a big climactic battle at the end, so would be difficult to merge I think. Depending on how long a season is
Book 1
Ep 1 - till the trolloc attack
Ep 2- Till they flee Baerlon?
Ep 3 - After Shadar Logoth when they are all safe
Ep 4-6 - Till they meet up in Caemlyn
Ep 7 - Flee Caemlyn, the Ways
Ep 8 - the Blight/Eye of the World

Could maybe be compressed down to 6? or pushed out to 10 or even 12 episodes
The other books are similar
But once into book 4, it is harder, as each of the characters (Rand and Co, Perrin and co, Nynaeve and Co) have their own big climax

No, I think the first book needs to be one season. But the second book can be a little bit shortened, they chase after that Horn for quite a while :look:

It depends on how long the season is - if it is a 22 episode season, there would be a lot of episodes where not much happens unless they combine
GoT was about the same length as EotW, and was 8 episodes I think, but they had to cut quite a bit out - mostly characters, and some sub plots that didn't pay off until later books/seasons

I think we could compress the books down into this:

Season 1: EotW and TGH: Season 1, ending with Rand's image being seen in the sky.
Season 2: TDR (drawing callandor as a half-season finale, with the battle beginning in the Stone as a cliffhanger) and TSR. The rainstorm/Rhuidean battle and Elaida figuring out what Siuan and Moraine has been up to seems like a great stopping point).
Season 3: FoH, LoC, CoS (I think this is where there will need to be a lot of rearranging, with sections of multiple books going at once)
Season 4: PoD, WH, CoT, KoD (this is a lot, but honestly I think it can be trimmed enough)
Season 5: TGS, ToM (I feel like a lot of these arcs could be handled simultaneously, mixed in together).
Season 6: AMoL

(assuming we're getting at least 15-20 episode seasons. If it's more like 6-13 range, then I think we'd need 10 seasons).

Half of AMoL was just one battle. I hope they don't drag it out to a full season

I think I'm assuming it'll be a shorter season than the rest, Toral Gaidin, but there's so many plot threads to follow through the Last Battle that I think it's a minimum of six episodes? Lan at Tarwain's Gap, Faile and the Horn, Elayne's battle, Perrin in the tel'arah'rhiod, Lan battling the Dark One, Mat's threads through the battle, and the ways that the Seanchan and the "Twin Towers" (ha) contribute. It's a lot. Plus there's the other half-book of buildup, and tying off loose threads so that it really feels like a satisfying ending.

There is too much for one episode for sure.
But of course, they will likely have to cut out plots and characters to make it filmable. The Shaido (especially the Faile bit) seems the most expendable - did that whole thing really have a point, but they might even decide to cut out all of the Seanchan stuff

The Shaido thread should end with a defeat at Caihrien that's so decisive that they go back over the spine. Have a big showdown with Mat and Couladin and that's it.

While I think Seanchan stuff can be trimmed, it's way too central to TGH and Egwene's storyline to remove completely. Each of the core team have their own villains to deal with and contribute significantly to their arcs and character growth. Egwene being leashed and then ultimately defeating them at the Tower is a big deal.
