    As promised, here is the almost complete hood, now that the sewing part is finished.

    Red Wool, Brown Linen, gold/yellow thread. The embroidery is incomplete and still needs finishing, as are the seams and hems. I plan to apply decorative embroidery along seams and hems/edges to reinforce and decorate them, in period accurate fashion.

    I did indeed! Backstitch for seams, blanket stitch for fray control on most seams and the face opening, with whip stitch used to fell the wool of some seams over the linen for fray control. I have some basting to remove before it's finished, as well as the decorative parts
