The costume/cosplay team is a new team we’re adding to the Department of Events and Conferences. With the TV show looming in the not-so-distant future, we want to be ready and waiting for those new (and not so new!) members who wish to delve more into the costumes/garments of the Wheel of Time series.

At this time, the costume/cosplay team will be made up of 2-3 individuals, who will be non-rotating staff members of the Events department. These individuals will report directly to the Director of Events and Conferences. As this is a staff position, it will count toward the Staff Merit.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Any level of membership (citizen to Senior membership welcome!)
    • Have been a member of TarValon.net for a minimum of 6 months
    • At minimum, an intermediate skill level in at least one of the various handicrafts listed (sewing, crocheting, knitting, designing, etc)
    • Enthusiasm and creativity!
    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Creating content (e.g. how-to guides for shawls/the Flame, etc)
    • Moderating the threads
    • Encouraging user-based content
    • Helping define the structure and priorities of this developing area
The sky's the limit with this team! The workload may vary throughout the year, depending on factors such as real life events, TV show releases, etc. A minimum of 3-5 hours per week would be a rough guideline at this time, but it may change in the future.

If you would like to apply to be on the costume/cosplay team, please send an email with the subject line APPLICATION - COSTUME TEAM - YOURNAMEHERE to amyrlin@tarvalon.net, keeper@tarvalon.net and events@tarvalon.net, explaining your qualifications and any ideas/plans that you feel would qualify you to be a part of this team.

Applications are due no later than JULY 27, 2020.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

I so wish I was advanced enough to apply for this. I will be watching and supporting and definitely trying any knitting patterns that are produced!
