Hello Everyone! The Mayor's Office is hiring!
Thank you Brynden, Alora, and Jarl for your service to the City! We appreciate you so much.
I will now be taking applications for a new staff term. Term will run at least six months, nine months preferred. Please read through the information below and feel free to ask me any questions via PM/email.
About the Welcoming Committee Forum:
There are a number of threads in the City Hall forum, each detailing a project. Anyone on the team can work on any of these projects at any time. We have a few set tasks, some brainstorming for future organization, and we are open to YOUR ideas! This team is the “first impression” for Visitors and Citizens, as well as the organizational center of the Mayor’s Office to keep our City running smoothly. We need a variety of gifts and skills to make this a success.
Passionate about meeting and helping new people love our site? We have a place for you!
Enjoy making sigs and avatars? We have a place for you!
Organizing free weeks? We have a place for you!
Want to make the City a fun and vibrant piece of TarValon? We have a place for you!

About the City Staff Specializations:
All these positions are considered a guide towards overall team function, but you can fit in one category or all categories -- that is up to you. Our team will consist of at least five members, including: 2+ Greeters, 1 Scribe, and 2+ City Architects.
The Greeters primary role is to -- greet! They will patrol the Introductions Forum and work with visitors, helping them get avatars, get enough posts, and become citizens. They will keep the team updated on who they’ve greeted, and let me know of any membership items that need follow-up.
The City Architects! This part of the team is really in charge of special projects - i.e. getting Citizens organized for Free Weeks, keeping an eye and helping hand on the City forums, helping with the Citizens’ Classes, and whatever else we can dream up to help our Visitors, Citizens, and City be awesome.
At this time I am needing Architects, but would happily accept others!

If you have a preference, please state whether you are interested in being a Greeter, the Scribe, an Architect, or multiple specializations. If you have no preference, please mention that too.

- Be a full member of the site (i.e. must have attained the rank of Citizen or higher).
- Have an email address you are willing to share with at least the mayor. Some of the projects may require you to have an email you are willing to share with everyone in the forum. If you uncomfortable using your primary email, creating a faux-email whose only use is for this forum is okay.
- Be trainable - You don't have to know anything coming into this position; we can teach you everything you need to know. For some things, however, we use Google Drive, a set of Microsoft Office-esque free online programs, and your position and future projects may require you to use it.(Spreadsheet experience is preferred for the Scribe.)
- Be enthusiastic, creative, and forward-thinking! I'm most excited for members of the committee who have ideas for how we can better involve new members -- no matter how big or small the idea is.
