We are looking to add more TarValon Talks Team members.
The TarValon Talks is our podcast team within the Department of Communications & Media (C&M)! As such, we’re looking for additional experienced and fun loving individuals with a passion for audio-visual (AV) media.
This is a non-rotating position reporting to the Digital Producer. The applicant(s) taking on this responsibility is eligible for the Staff Merit.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Review and edit raw audio to remove errors, filler words, and background noise to ensure a smooth and clear listening experience.
- Add intros, outros, and other musical cues as needed.
- Adjust and balance audio levels between podcast hosts.
- Merge edited audio files once all edits are complete.
- Work with Digital Producer to acquire raw audio files and submit final edited audio files for review and upload.
- Attend semi-monthly planning meetings to review episode schedules and ensure recordings, editings, and uploads are on-task.
- (Optional) Provide ideas for episode content.
- Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment, offering and receiving constructive feedback from other team members.
- Must be able to work within a deadline.
- Must be experienced in the following areas: sound engineering, project and time management
- Must have experience with digital audio workstations (DAWs) like Adobe Audition or Audacity. Other programs are completely fine, as long as they have the capacities listed above.
- Must have been a member of TarValon.Net for at least 6 months. Applicants may be of any TarValon.Net community group
- Actively engaging and participating in the TarValon Talks Team forum and Discord channel.
Ability to check on the TarValon Talks staff forum on a regular basis is a necessity for this position.
