Hi everyone, I love the book series and even got to meet Brandon and Harriet at a book signing years ago. The Wheel of Time books started to collect dust as life got busy. I am now hopping back into a world I enjoyed reading so much and it feels great to connect with others who love the series too. Looking forward to getting to know more people here better.
I read all of them but the last...I know that's horrible. I think it took so long to get it out and I know it sounds silly but I was so sad when Robert Jordan passed away, I just couldn't. I need to get on the ball and get it read.
That doesn't sound horrible to me. I know when the end of a series comes out, I usually let it sit for a bit, at least, just to prolong something I love.
Thanks, I'll definitely need kleenex...and chocolate ice cream. I remember how bummed I was when Harry Potter was over, and that was way before Robert Jordan came along I know this is going to be a hard goodbye when it ends. Though I always play it out much better in my head for the aftermath and what happens later, lol. I don't think any movie could ever be as creative or have as big of a production budget as our imaginations. I will say the audiobooks are wonderful and I really love the voices for the couple that read them. I like knitting and crochet and they're great to listen to as my hands are busy with yarn! Can't resist a good excuse to multitask while crafting.
Hey Willow! Lots of knitters and crocheters here also - check out the hand craft discussion forum when you get a minute
Welcome, Willow! I also try to stretch a last book as long as possible and when I do finish I have no idea what to do for my life for a day Hope you like it here and let us know if you any questions!
Hahaha, I’m the same way. I barricad myself in my room when I’m reading something then when it’s over I’m kinda lost for a few days until I find a new distraction to jump into or great book to read.
Welcome Willow! Can't wait to hear impressions of the last book! Tissues and ice-cream required for sure
