Totally understand the position you guys are in. The work that is needed to be done to make sure all the important emails are up and running :eek.

Just sign up to a new one if you dont use the old anymore. Plenty of free email services these days (gmail/outlook/protonmail/tutanota). And start using a password manager to remember stuff!

Yeah, I just snagged a new "Tower" email at Gmail, although sadly elania@gmail.com was already taken. Hopefully I'll be able to figure out how to transfer all of the emails over, but we have until the end of June.

I know it's been said multiple times that the team is focusing on the real accounts first, but there are definitely email services out there that at least let you set up forwarders for free, so at some point in the future I would love to see that as an option. We use RackSpace for most of our clients at my job, and we can add as many domains as we want but there's no cost to the clients for unlimited forwarders...it's only the real email accounts that have a small monthly fee for each. I hope that once things settle down, the team will be looking into what's available!

Is it possible for any of you tech people to make it possible for us to change the ownership of Google Documents to people outside of the organisation? When I tried to change to my new email, I got an error message saying I couldn't give ownership to someone outside this organisation.

That's awful. I've used mine as my main Gmail account for years, it will take AGES to remember all the places I've used it

But as a point of note for those affected if you do need to switch account this is a VERY good time to start using a password manager to store all login credentials etc (Bitwarden is a free, open source and very good solution - im in no way affiliated) this way in future you can see at a glance what email you've used for different accounts and its easy to have secure and separate passwords for everything.

Seconding this. I use KeePassXC, which is also free, and like it.
