I am also getting the "you must wait 30 seconds to post" when posting for the first time in awhile, and if I scroll down, I notice that the post has already been posted! So I usually just hit the back button or go on doing whatever it was I was going to do next, but it is strange that it is happening. (Windows 8, Chrome)

This is happening with almost every post for me now.

Now it seems to have calmed down again.
I'm starting to think it's a server response time thing.

I'm starting to get a weird "Leaving this page OMG!!" notice from my phone. Normally it's just, "Are you sure you want to leave this page? Click OK to proceed." Now it's along the lines of "If you leave this page you'll have to reload EVERYTHING: Click Reload or Don't reload." I use Chrome on my phone, which is a Motorola Android. But I still get the double posts issue on my laptop, too, which also uses Chrome.

Getting that with Firefox too. Not on my phone it seems, let me test.

I've been getting the "wait 30 seconds before posting again" error on every post today. Pretty sure everything I use is Chrome-based (my phone is fairly new so I don't know all the ins and outs yet, and I'm fairly phone-illiterate ).

Getting the double post on both my phone & laptop again, a LOT. I clear the history automatically when I shut things down.

Interesting. Can you try the basic editor? I want to see if that makes a difference.

The setting is found under
Settings > My Settings (menu) > General Settings > Miscellaneous Options > Choose "[FONT=Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif]Basic Editor"[/FONT]

[FONT=Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif]See if that helps.
You will lose most of the formatting options but if you don't get a double posts that helps us understand more of whats going on. [/FONT]

Hey Mendo and Tech Minions ... I need help please.

I clicked into the back end of the Tar Valon Times (News -> Tar Valon Times -> then I clicked on the little pencil icon to the right of the Tar Valon Times title).

I wanted to adjust the number of articles displayed per page (the menu for this is at the bottom center of the screen). I did this a few days ago, successfully. Today when I tried it I got this error:

This was not an issue until a couple days ago- every so often when I hit "reply" to a post, it renders me incapable of using the spacebar. Sometimes if I refresh the page it "gets better." Sometimes I have to completely back out and re-click the link. Sometimes it starts doing it in the middle of writing a post; if I click back into what I've already written I can add spaces, but I can't at the end of the sentence.

It seems to happen more frequently if I hit "reply with quote" versus simply typing in the quick reply box, but it DOES happen in both circumstances.

I'm on Windows 7 using Chrome. I don't appear to have this issue with my phone, but I also don't do much posting from there.

I am not sure if this has been addressed before, but on most threads the Top (go to the top of the page) button is not working and I have to scroll (yes, I am lazy). Is there a reason for this??? Because I appreciate the Top button a lot
I don't know if it's because of my browser or computer - I use Google Chrome on Linux Thanks.

You can use the "Home" button to get back to the top you know
