I'm seeing the same as Ty mentions, only the tag [IMG and nothing more. I use Opera web browser.
I use Chrome.
Same for me (Firefox).
Avery: I wonder if it's maybe correcting to a different ' mark for you? Can you email yourself your username or something and then copy/paste your username into the username field and see if that works?
Leira: it's probably the rich text editor *also* trying to help. You might try unchecking the rich text editor option here https://www.tarvalon.net/index.php?account/preferences for a bit and see if that helps?
Ty, Onis, and Tallan: that's a really weird one, and I'll see if I can replicate it.
The problem Ty/Onis/Tallan have is working for me, too. I use Chrome, and I've tried images hosted on Google Drive, Imgur, and imgbb - they all just give me the broken image link and the
I'm testing an image here from imgur to see if it happens for me.
Nope, worked fine for me, I'll pick at it in a testing thread with a test account further.
I am having the same issue as Kyla, b/c I know I use to be able to reference Giphy, etc w/o any issues before. And I think it's connected to my sigs as well. It seems like if it isn't a .jpg (or the like) the forums doesn't support it?
What I've seem to have noticed..is that it doesn't like shortened URLs. With giphy - if you use the long form, it shows fine for me. But if you use the shortened url, it shows up as the tag. Just a notice.
That is good to know!
For the watched threads frature, I have it so that I don't get email alerts but I get alerts here on the site. Lately I've been missing quite a few of those alerts. Anyone else noticing this??
I've found that if I don't check a thread when I get an alert, I don't get another alert the next time someone posts there.
Same as Dnae. But if I check that thread again, later, I start getting the alert again
Check your settings. it's possible it only pokes at you once when there are updates - not all the updates posted after. It may just be a board thing.
