I'm still getting redirected to the main page when I type "www.tarvalon.net/forum.php" into my browser or use my bookmark to the same address. Everything else is working fine for me, though.
If I clear my browser's cache, do I also clear out what it's remembered so I can keep track of where I was in an online cartoon that's several thousand pages long? If so, there's no way I want to clear it out, as it's darn hard to go find where I was at. How do I do this then? Can I clear out a specific file from my cache?
I think there might be a way to clear a specific site's data from the cache, but it's a more complicated developer tool.
It shouldn't get rid of any saved site state, though. Cache would be uses for storing those comic images so your computer didn't need to download again if they hadn't been change. Cookies will keep what page you're on. When you clear your data, make sure you only select "cache" or "temporary internet files" and not "cookies".
And alternate solution would be to delete the bookmark and create it again with the new URL.
I don't use bookmarks. I let the cookies remember where I was at last. To have to remember to set a new bookmark every time I leave the online cartoon won't happen - I won't remember to.
