I guess I still count as first time reading? I read chapter by chapter summaries of 1-3 to remind myself. Reread 4. Reread/Finally finished 5, now I'm on 8 and trucking along.

I will finally finish! I love the overall story, the world, the main characters, even when they make me knuckle my mustaches in consternation or the glut of detail makes my ADHD brain go a little crazy.

You're already outpacing me, and I'm on my 4th re-read, so keep up the good work!

Great choice of phrase too, knuckle-my-mustache. Talk about a bad habit I try to lay off of XD

So, I just finished Knife of Dreams and started The Gathering Storm. Progressing pretty well! KoD was definitely an improvement!

So, yes I was only on Book 8 a couple of weeks ago. I just confess that audiobooks and about 22-24 hours of driving got me through The Slog. Reading 9 & 10 would have been painful, so the timing worked well.

I am reading, but I do also confess augmenting with audiobooks during my commutes and sometimes during my workout.

I'm so happy to be back in the Pattern after so many years!

Damn you're on a role. I hit a serious block with Crown of Swords so I'm going to have to power through and find some motivation.

I should really invest in the audiobooks, there's no reason to think I can't enjoy that way just because it hasn't worked for me in the past with other things XD

Workouts though I really can't do, had a hard enough time trying to get through mine today just with my usual mix-list.

Most of them, the audiobooks, I check out from the library through the Libby app. That's helpful. I have to down them up, because sometimes their reading pace is quite slow and might make me tired.

I finished, and ... wow! I'll still read New Spring, but I finished the main series. New Mat was a bit over the top, but such a string ending!
You are not alone in that sentiment.

I think I also started in about 1991, though I am not a first time reader - probably read the first book entirely a couple of dozen times, and bits of it to take notes dozens more
