just starting up with book 5, and am very pleased
it started of with what happens next with Siuan and Liane, after Min saving them, and Logain.. this is gonna be fun lol
oh wow..and here I thought Logain to be a sad little gentled kitty cat, and he’s already causing such a ruckus..:D3 I have a feeling I’m gonna like this dude :ha

I always felt that this book was where we really got into the meat of the story....the previous books felt like prologue or introduction for me.

I don’t feel I’m far enough into book five to say for sure, but I definitely think you’re on to something there..omg I think this will be my favorite book haha…Siuan is killing me:giggle

so I enjoyed the beginning, the parts about rand…as usual I just can’t help zoning out..I hope I don’t miss something important.. :yawn

I know, that pacing is such that it feels like it reads faster. I'm having to constantly take breaks.

Yeah… it definitely is more happening all the time so that might help too. You’re first time reading or re-reading?

It's a re-read for me. I'm trying to keep pace and savor the moments; I really love the story and characters and each time it still feels fresh to me. And so, I tend to "rush" through it, as that tends to be my reading style when I love a book. This time to stem the "rush", I'm reading three different books (and genres) to induce reflection. The Silk Roads, a New History of the World (academic history book); Natives Discover America, an Anthropological study of the "White Man", and the WoT series.

It's working so far....although I think I am about 10 chapters ahead of the re-read crowd....still they have also been a good "brake" on my "rush." LOL.

That is a good tactic, I can’t really do that anymore, it confuses me and I might mix things up lol. The other books any good? yeah I tried joining in on the re-read, but it wasn’t what I was looking for. I was more on the outlook for a place to analyze and discuss details you wouldn’t necessarily have noticed first time around..maybe someone would share the difference between their older self point of view versus their first time around, that sort of thing.. so here I am mainly talking to myself (like usual lol) until you came along :giggle

If it's cool with you, @Chiema Purvene'Caba , I'll carry this over to the Re-read section so that I don't accidentally spoiler any thing for the First time Read.

As for the other books...yeah they are really good but very different (more in the carry over...).

For the re-read, it’s really whatever people want to say. I’m making observations that can go in the notes sections, other people offer them I won thoughts, or comments on what they saw, some people note how their view of characters or events have changed - really thing goes. Some of it might spark a response, some of it is just interesting to see

Ooooh.. yeah I saw that and was like; well here I’m not gonna disturb with my chitchat cause they are making records, lol :giggle
Fires of Heaven is one of the best ones. Some scenes I went back to read over and over
It was so funny and easy read from the first pages I love it!
