Is there anything planned to help boost chat participation (special events, etc)? I'm just curious....and sad. I miss active chat, and would hate to see it die.

I'd like to see chat more active too, I often go in there to find it empty/silent. Of course it could partly be that I go on at times when it is just quiet but still would be good if it was more active in general.

I think us Brits going on and finding it quiet, makes us quit and forget to go back due to timing. Although i would like to get back to it.

There tends to be some of us on at all hours. I know with the baby waking up I tend to get on (other than this week) at all different hours and tend to see some on.

I know I tend to also not know who's idle so I tend to wait for others to say hi some times.

I wish there was a way to tell who is idle and who is just waiting for someone to say something and might've gotten distracted.

Open chats seem to encourage people to get on, last time DM did one, it was pretty active.

Yeah, if you want, just say hi. I often have it open but I'm not actively talking, as do many others. Just say hey and see if anyone says hey back! Do wait a few minutes though, sometimes it takes a minute to notice.

Also if you say my name 'Mendo' it makes a ding sound and I hear it if I have a window covering it up.
