I mean, I'd already been following him on IG for a couple years because he's pretty #noshame
He has an instagram? *perks up* He IS pretty, no doubt
Also I was today years old when I realized I have impure thoughts about Lan.
I've been having impure thoughts about Lan since I was 14.
Just LOOK at this: https://www.instagram.com/p/B2AcuteB6He/
Very good choice for LAN, with a bit of makeup I couldn't think of anyone more perfect.
I can see that. No problem by me.
Stick him in some armour, good to go.
Uh. Damn. Hello.
Been a huuuuuge fan of Daniel Henney for years and years now. Which means I'm unbelievably excited for him to take on Lan
this So I am happy that they chose someone who represents him well
I hope they put a little grey in his hair, but I approve. At least it's another actor I'm not familiar with. Hope that trend keeps up.
Nice to have another one, I don’t care what any of them look like, though I am amused by the people I saw insisting he looks just like he was described in the books.
I wonder if he has had time to grow his hair out.
How good would he look with grey temples though
When they get him as full on Lan...
Saaaaaame. I love him and completely see him as Lan, but even with my memory I recall a lot of references to blue eyes. Steely blue or ice blue iirc. He doesn’t look exactly like the descriptions in the series, but he fits the aura very well imo
Eta: decent photoshops make me happyyyyyyyy (spoiler tags because image and because image contains legit spoilers)
wow yeah good photoshops, I like them! Still can't see Nynaeve in Zoe, but she is sooo pretty none the less !!!
LAN is definitely “stony faced” and I think there is a reference somewhere along the lines of “you wouldn’t think it to look at him now, but he was quite pretty in his youth” and maybe one about how looks aren’t everything because someone as pretty as Nynaeve is with him
Edited because nynaeve was autocorrected to “any weave”
This is correct, I faintly remember reading this somewhere as well. Nice memory! I had forgotten until now.
I told my coworker who's read the series about the guy they cast for Lan yesterday. I mentioned that I thought he was "pretty." She said she never thought of him as pretty, and then I realized that most people don't apply that word the way I do to men to mean "good-looking," and they usually think it means "effeminate."
