I'd be down with Lanagorn! Haha. Lanagorn Mandragoran.
I want Lan to be one of those dudes with startling blue eyes. Like Ian Somerhalder, or Misha Collins. NOT saying I want either of those to play him (Ian's too young, Misha's too soft and can't fight, real or choreographed, to save his damn life), just that kind of eye thing going on.
ETA: Ian may not actually be too young. Yikes, time flies.
Ok? There's this thing called working out before a movie or TV show? Chris Pratt looked completely different before Guardians of the Galaxy. Charlize Theron looked completely different in Monster. Christian Bateman has gone from one extreme to another in movies (not that I condone that). But seriously, his shoulder width is the quibble? I'm sure they know what a blacksmith looks like and will have him bulk up appropriately.
Also, this picture is so Mat I can't even. This boy is definitely out to steal your ladies and let a badger loose.
Today in totally unnecessary salt: choosing not to watch a show at all because an actor doesn't meet one's physical fitness standards.
I am looking forward to the series now, they may not look like the characters in the books but Rosamund Pike will whip them all into shape.
Geeking out at the moment
I cannot wait to see the costumes and the sets. I hope they film near to me.. GOT was filmed in Northern Ireland. I'm hoping to go to New Zealand to go to Middle Earth one day.
Only filming locations announced so far are Central Europe: https://www.kftv.com/news/2019/06/25/amazons-wheel-of-time-to-film-prague-slovenia-and-croatia-
Blacksmiths are muscular from their work, yes, but they're not exactly always going to be broad shouldered.
(My brother is one and I'm friendly with the local Amish blacksmith family. More than a few in that family have been smiths for *years* and they aren't broad shouldered, just muscular. Broad shouldered is more of how your skeleton is built, and while to an extent that will be dictated by physical labor if you have a slender skeleton then you just aren't going to be ridiculously broad shouldered.)
Yeah and I know female blacksmiths so I don't agree with assigning one single body shape to them.
Edited to be less snarky.
Let's keep our discussion tempered, please. While some may not agree with with casting (and that's totally fine. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.) We shouldn't jump on people just because they don't agree with something.
I am RIGHT THERE WITH YOU and embarrassed because he's younger than my gf and she's already young enough
Wait until you hear the Hottie say "Blood and Bloody Ashes!"
One light-hearted poke at an over the top statement was too much?
Holy over moderation. Don't bother yelling at me, y'all can find me on Tumblr- @blueeyesandspammypie.
No, but with how I'm seeing this conversation going down literally on every other WoT group out there, I would like to keep that from happening here.
I don't think that's the case, he's just reminding us not to escalate Which I shouldn't have done, my apologies.
It's not nice to tease your Big Sister!
And my edited post was very snarky too which I apologize for.
I might have to like Mat a whole lot more now, he's never really been my favorite but with this casting?
Separate names with a comma.
