Okay, I guess I'm blind too but where can we access the v5 forums? :brown-blink:

Aaah, I had somehow gotten the impression from later posts that it had been sorted out.

That's what I thought at first as well (quoting a post with quotes in it removes the innermost quotes which removes a lot of context) but then I read Azi Gaidin's post in full and it made sense. :P

For the record- I have noticed that occasionally when I visit the forums my browser will add an extra forward slash between tarvalon.net and forum.php (so it's tarvalon.net//forum.php). When that happens, I get a 404. If I fix it, I can get to the forums. So far it has happened twice on my phone and once on my computer, but otherwise access has been fine.

Just something for people to check for if/when they get a 404 error ...

Nope, still haven't gotten that worked out. Haven't had time to work on it this week. Don't worry, it's all still there, just not up for archive access yet!

That might be related to caching. Try the clearing steps above... otherwise, it could be a weird rewrite rule that's misconfiged. If you notice a pattern of when you experience this, let me know.

Is there a link to the vb5 forums somewhere? I would like to re-post a few things.

Hello! I haven't been on the boards since we switched back. Since my term as Yellow HoA ended just before the switch-over, I have access to forums that I shouldn't:

Water Cooler
Departmental Forums (sub-forums: Dept of Membership, Junior Member Summer Camp)
Departmental Sub-forums (which is odd, but it's a separate board...)

Thanks!

Everything is so squishy. :look: Is the size we had in vb5 not possible in vb4? :look:

(totally not trying to harp, just, you know, my eyes. :brown-blink: :brown-blink: :brown-blink:)

Just noting that I saw this and that you're not the only one who has mentioned it to me. :pleased-1:

The font on VB5 was way too big so this has been better for my eyes (at least). <3

Random question: Why do some people have an asterisk next to the name in the users online list? I saw it next to *** and ***.

It means they're invisible to normal users. Way to out them! :giggle

Yep, because of your newly enabled goddess powers, you get to see people who are online and electing not to let the hoi polloi know about it :p
