Greetings all!
As I'm sure has been the case for others, the Wheel of Time TV show has inspired me to come back here. I'm not honestly sure of why i went MIA in this community, it was around 2007-2009, which is when lots was happening IRL (new jobs etc) so that's probably the reason.
I had joined around 2005 and made it to Recruit back in the day. Maybe Soldier, cant remember honestly. I was known as Kaylan Dunai back then. I'm actually using the same Avatar i used back 15 years ago
Since it's been many years, and now both Aes Sedai and Gaidin can is not gender restricted, though i'd start over fresh.
IRL i'm a Project/Engineering Management, and have a great love for Sci-Fi and Fantasy. Enjoyed Tolkien's works, Sanderson's Mistborn Trilogy, The Saga Of Recluce, The Sword of Truth Series. In Sci-Fi, i'm a huge Expanse and Battlestar Galactica fan, as well as as Star Wars and Star Trek. Have great interests in Aviation, Aerospace, Space Exploration, flying. Some hobbies/interests are video editing/production, CG/CGI, love cinematic soundtracks (plan to compose some in the future). Have founded and ran many online sites and communities in the past, including a Wheel of Time roleplaying/writing community back in the day, BSG, Star Wars fan sites, and more recently i run a couple gaming organisations.
I have a great interest in discussing Politics/Spirituality, current events and have a great interest in world events and society trends. So hope to meet and chat with like minded folks.
I'm finishing Knife of Dreams (i had left of like 10 years ago as I did not want the series to end, so I literally had stopped reading). So i'm finishing it and i just picked up the last 3 books and look forward to completing the series.
Like to say high to some of the folk that i remember, Arisaema Sedai, Alessandra Sedai, Dovienya Sedai, Vivianna Sedai. As well as some folk that I'm not sure if they are still around, Bridonna Desini, Eireann Namar, Estalia Walburga and Ilissa al'Nari.
Also, interesting fact, I had the honor of having Eleyan Sedai as my SM Sponsor.
Anyways, look forward to meeting you all and having some good discussions!
