We have less than a week left before we begin :joy

I was thinking if it will be interesting to do sort of like a Trivia night one day after we finish the book before we begin the next book?
I will have to think of a lot of questions on only the Eye of the World, so you know they will be nitpicky

w00t! :joy Ready for this. I'll have to plan out reading time though so I don't get behind. :look:

I bought the Kindle version awhile back for $1.99. It'll do until I unearth the box with my books.

uhhh. Absolutely yes on Trivia. I’ve gone through tEotW half a dozen times in the last few months because of other tower stuff going on. I’m in the middle of book 2, but I’m definitely participating in the discussion.

Egwene is super annoying in these chapters. I have to remember she is really young, but that doesn't totally excuse her acting like a Coplin

I'm already behind! :eek I will catch up though. Now to hunt down my Kindle and then I have a few weeks to find my box of books in storage for the rest.

I do have some on audio, but really want to do some old school turn the pages, smell the book, reading. I'll buy a Kindle copy though if I have to for The Great Hunt. :rolleyes I mean I do enjoy the convenience, but well, you know. ;)

My copy of the Great Hunt has split in half :look: Luckily I got a new copy in the same version as the other ones. Sadly. when my copy of Lord of Chaos also split in two, my sister bought a new version, that doesn't fit with the others. So in my bookcase my copy of Lord of chaos are still split in half...

I've given up trying to make my bookshelf look uniform. Half of my WoT books are in paperback, half in hardback, and one that's one of those mid-sized weirdos.

Mine are paperback while I was catching up with what was published. The last few are hardback purchases on initial publishing :D Lopsided bookshelf layout

Yeah, all mine are paperback except for New Spring and 10 (or 11) on up because I bought them new. Also, my Big White Book is a paperback with illustrations on it? I got it at Half-Price books years ago, I think.

Aha! Goodreads has a photo of my version. I swear I don't think people believed me when I said it wasn't white. It has the same content though. I'm going to have to look when I find it. According to the wiki it may be a reprint of the UK version. Interesting.

I do still need to get the Wheel of Time Companion book.

I have the US versions with the weird front covers that only depicts what is happening in the book about half the time, and rarely the important events :P

But the last three books I have in the boring UK versions, but at least they are the same height in paperback ;)

I really want to get the pretty re-designed ones that were released in the US.

I will be halfway through Eye of the World on my first re-read of 20 years... I had completely forgotten how much Rand fancied Egwene... "he stared at the buttons on back of her dress" not an exact quote but yeah... lol... THE TENSION BE REAL :rofl

I haven't done a re-read since the last book came out. I just looked up when that was and it was 2013!! :embarassed:
I used to do a re-read every year or so!!
Anyway, I just started book 6 last night. I would always pick up a new little tidbit here and there before, but this time I'm recognizing a bunch of stuff that I never picked up on before....must be a new personal perspective. I honestly almost set the books back down after the first one because I couldn't handle all the lies and deception!
I also had to replace several books; couldn't find a copy of the first one at all, the second one was missing pages, etc.... I ended up with some from Amazon with a very boring cover! :/

I'm definitely in the same boat, Keisha. I haven't read any of the books since AMoL came out. I finished that book in 3 days and Haven't re-read any of them since. i should just do what you did and start halfway through since every time a new one came out over the years I'd re-read all the books before it. Books 1-6 at this point have been read so many times I could probably just tackle the chapter summaries in the Library and start book 6 or 7 from there.

Are there spoilers for the later books in the discussion thread?
