Good day TarValon!

I present to you, on behalf of a ton of work led by @Erin al'Denael and @Morrighan Daghdera, an updated org chart! This image reflects an updated organizational structure that helps our community better accomplish our goals and enables each department and team to focus on the unique value they provide. These changes will help clarify the areas of focus for the Keeper and the Cordamora, and the executive team will continue to work together as the incoming Amyrlin is identified to make adjustments as needed. Some of the highlights and changes include…
  • Movement of Moderators/Operators from Technology to a new structure under the Cordamora to enable Tech to focus more on their ability to support our critical systems and site updates.
  • Expansion of Tower Mediators role within a new membership support structure. The number of tower mediators will be expanded and will report directly to the Cordamora as they help resolve membership conflicts.
  • The Department of Community Outreach will be split into two separate departments, the Department of Outreach and the Department of Online Events. The concept of splitting these two activities into separate groups has been in discussion for several years and this change will be especially helpful as online events have become more of a feature of how we connect and our Philanthropic events have and will continue to grow.
  • Potential addition of Guilds/Guild Coordinator. There’s some more work to do here but a lot of people are very interested in adding guilds back into our community and we want to hold a place for them in this structure.

I was thinking just the other day that a big chart like this would be super useful, so it’s really great that y’all are telepathic. Love this, and thanks everyone!

All of these updates are good, but this is the MVP:
Movement of Moderators/Operators from Technology to a new structure under the Cordamora to enable Tech to focus more on their ability to support our critical systems and site updates.
Having Deoan (Director of Technology) say that he didn't have time to work on the homepage update (a major priority) because he had to pay close attention to, and get involved in, large community discussions was very far from ideal.

For the visual, I think it's great that it's color-coded! It doesn't apply to me, but did someone check to make sure it still has visual distinctions for colorblindness?

And is it possible to somehow indicate which positions are admin level vs staff level? The director level has the benefit of them all having "Director" in their title.

This org chart's been around a while; it just hasn't been made public. It's functional moreso than pretty. We wanted the community to see an overview of what we're going for. I'll work on adding Admin distinctions. Colors...we have so many departments, that they're all different colors. All of them are readable -- that was the goal!

For more specific information, the Library is always going to be the best bet. I'm sure Ilverin and her team will have this information in there sooner rather than later! :D

So far, I have only communicated with each department and have done Department only org charts, so you are free to check those. (Marketing wasn't set in stone yet, so I haven't uploaded a new version yet)

We will try to update these as fast as possible. As soon as the Directors give us feedback.

But I will look for a place to put the whole Tower Organization chart so that it's all in one place instead of spread over several departments/pages.

Question. I see that there is a Guilds Coordinator in the Online Events section of the chart. Is this a holdover from when we still had Guilds waaaaaaaaaay back, or is this person now responsible for the Discussion Halls?, or are there some thoughts of bringing back the Guilds and this position was just never retired?

It's a new position, and Morri will be sharing information about it when the time comes. :D

I was hoping this question would be asked! :pleased-1: Guilds could potentially be coming back in an organic fashion based on community-driven interest. There has been a proposal for how this could potentially work. I just posted to hire for the Online Events Director, so the details will be established with whoever is selected and accepts that role, as that person will supervise this role.

I love the enthusiasm. :D

I really like this, thank you for your hard work in creating it. The color-coding definitely helps my brain. :p

I would love to see the Guilds come back! I miss them.
