Khisanth I'm jealous of your warder. He might just be the best. Lucky Aes sedai you :hug

Yeah, he is pretty awesome. :D I am jealous you guys get to see him so much. :p  :hug

We won't be there for the 4th. Finances just don't allow for a trip, sadly. :\

Lireina - I totally forgot that. :P I blame it on the baby hormones that I didn't know about at the time. :look:

We used the term "cottages" because they're more elaborate than a cabin, and offer more than a cabin. Think full size beds, equipped kitchens, living areas, and bathrooms.

And also because there are no cabins at Fort Yargo:
3 Cottages ($135) -- #3 is dog friendly ($45 per dog, max 2)
6 Yurts ($70)

And think bunk beds with yurts. Cottages have two bedrooms/one bath, one BR with double bed. I cannot tell about the other BR but probably setup for kids which means twins or bunks.

So we get all three cottages and get capacity of 3 couples max plus 14 (2 per bunk for 6, 3 extra if a single is also in those BRs, and 3 to 6 depending on fold out in LR) Good points are each cottage has a kitchen so one or more can be designated allergy free.

Also:
Smoke-Free Facilities: Please be advised that smoking is prohibited in all enclosed facilities, including buildings owned, leased, or operated by the State or local governing authorities. This includes all lodge rooms & facilities, park cottages, group shelters, group lodges, group camps, ... and yurts camps. Georgia Smoke-free Air Act of 2005

Pets:...Pets are allowed only in select cottages with advance reservations and a fee. Kennels are not available. Owners should clean up after pets.

Intoxicants: Consumption or use of alcoholic beverages or intoxicants is unlawful in any public-use area.

Yeah, yeah, tell me if I don't like it I don't need to worry about it. But people need to know what they are getting. Plus count on it taking 2 to 3 hours to get there from Hartsfield. I am just saying it like I see it.

Marty

...We never said it would be at Fort Yargo? I never even looked at that place when submitting my bid, so.

And we wouldn't stay in any of the yurts I saw either. They're only open certain times in the year due to the fact that they're essentially canvas pulled over a wooden/other frame. That wouldn't really suit our needs.

I personally went and checked out a couple locations, and Serenla/Ubah also personally went to see another that is very possibly the one we'll go with. As LL, I'm not sure how much I can/should share, but yeah - no Fort Yargo. No yurts. I think mentions of that earlier in the thread are being misconstrued. :)

Folks, if it doesn't come from me, Sonea, Lireina, or Mother, it's pure speculation. Please keep that in mind.

I'm fixing to bury myself deep into Fall Ball, so further information about Anni will have to wait until after Fall Ball, as usual.

Sorry for the misleading comment about yurts. :cheeseeni: I was just following the random course of conversation. I also mentioned Serenla's house, but that's also not where Anni will be. :P

In short: Ignore me. :P

Okay it's not Elijay, it's not Fort Yargo and it's not Serenla's. What's the big secret? I mean why not just say where you are trying to go and get some feedback from members that might have been there.

It isn't so much a secret as it is that it is less prominent than other things on our respective plates. That is why Lillian asked to let us get past Fall Ball (and South Pacific, I might add) before we start working on Anni.

We appreciate your desire to help out, and when the time comes to ask for volunteers, we hope that you will join us in the various preparations.
