I am very happy to announce a brand new location for our European Party. In 2019 we will all meet up in:
Belgrade, Serbia! :joy
Our local liaison, Theolyn Maryash, has this to say about her hometown:
"Belgrade is an old, old city with layers of history visible in every step - from actual Roman ruins scattered around the city fortress/park and nearby streets (the nearby City Library even has a room with part of these ruins available for different events), to buildings from different epochs snuggling tightly next to each other.
It is not a large city - home to about 2 mil. people - and nearly all the sights are within the walking distance, though all parts of the city are fairly well connected by public transport, as well.
The confluence of the two rivers - Danube and Sava - have always been the heart of the city and they offer an easy escape from the city bustle, be it their quays or Ada Ciganlija, Sava's lake. The city is brimming with cafes, pubs, restaurants, clubs, galleries, museums, monuments, churches, parks and green surfaces... All of which seem to be more affordable on average than it would be the case in western and northern Europe (a pint of beer is around 2 euros, a cup of coffee less).
Here in Serbia, we believe in 3 things - good food, good company and good times, and we take pride in offering it all to any and all visitors."
And the best news, this event will be a tourist style event, so you will have ample time to explore this beautiful city
The closest airport is the "Nikola Tesla" airport, and it is easy to get from there to the city Dates will be forthcoming but are not yet available. I promise we will try to get them to you as soon as possible.
I am looking forward to see you all in Serbia next year
EDIT: The event will happen Oct 04 - Oct 06 at Code of Joy http://www.citycode.rs/indexinjoy_en.php
