Hey everyone- we have a new Director of Community Outreach! 
We also have a very unique situation, which I would like to take a moment to share and explain.
There was one applicant for this role, which as we all know is not necessarily surprising with the lower applicant turnout for roles we've been seeing for a while now. Luckily, the applicant had a fabulous application with some great ideas, RL experience with non profit and charity work, and the kind of enthusiasm we were hoping to get for the position.
The applicant was also, however, a Tier 2 JM.
So we had something of a dilemma- this person didn't meet the SM requirement, but their personal experience and suggestions for improvements to our Outreach program were pretty amazing. So what to do?
We made the exception with a specific caveat to the position: because this role runs the RJ scholarship, and voting for that normally goes into the Hall, we will create a specific forum for this in the event that this person has not been made a Senior Member by that time. However, they will be given the rest of the access required for their new role so they can get going and make some great things happen.
