Yeah - I think they made them bigger so that we could see them better at a distance. And because they didn't do the agelessness, it wouldn't be as obvious who was Aes Sedai until after they started slinging the one power around.

Ugh - maybe I'm the only one, but I don't like it.

There is no way I could wear a ring this big everyday. I love the Badali ones and others that are more understated.

However, I totally agree that the understated ones would be hard to see and recognize in the TV format.

Also - who is kissing that ring? I know sometimes folks kiss the Amyrlin's ring, but it is on her hand at that point??

I believe the running theory is that it is Stepin, Karene Nagashi's warder. There's been some discussion on it here.

My initial thought was Lews Therin. Maybe kissing Ileyna's ring before he goes all nuclear. I could be wrong though.

I love how it's obviously a serpent eating its own tail, and how it's been made so unique. [gimme hands] I can't wait to buy the White Ajah version this! Hopefully they use semiprecious stones?

The couple of stones we've seen so far (green and blue) have been stone quality rather than gem quality, so I would assume so. These garnet beads are what I think would work for red, for example, because ruby is so pale in that form.

Most of the time they don't even wear them?
