Advice for where do donate beanies

I'm making beanies with a few friends of mine and we planned to donate them to cancer patients. Because one of my friends had a family member who recently died of leukemia. We have taught a few s how to knit/crochet and now we have about 70 odd beanies crocheted and knitted. Only problem is that all the charities throughout winter stopped taking donations because of overload. Kogo was the only organisation willing to take them, but their focus is on the homeless (which is still a wonderful cause but lacks the emotional significance that donating them to cancer would have). Does anyone in the southern hemisphere have any suggestions for charities that would take these for cancer patients?

I don't know who you would approach specifically, but it seems to me like local hospitals might be able to point you in the right direction or might know of a charity they could put you in touch with.

@Alora Sionn , I know this is for the Southern Hemisphere; but would these be useful for NICU's and perhaps @Amylia Lerato could approach them?

Yeah definitely, you'll need to check the requirements for the local NICU's, some of them don't accept handmade items post covid, but in general it is a nice thing to do!
