Well said! It's that violent and sexual realism that disturbs so many people, but that's one of the many reasons ASOIAF is such a beautiful series. I've often wondered what the Wheel of Time story would look like through George RR Martin's realist scope!

I don't want to see WoT in the hands of GRRM. Just imagine how many more people would die! :eek

I will watch the show and see how it ends.
I honestly start to wonder if Winds of Winter will ever come out. I know he has released several chapters, but I worry he has written too many storylines and now struggle to get them back again. The show is actually good, and for once I might actually like the TV adaption better than the original books :look

    don't kill me :look

    :lol
I like them both for their own reasons ;)
I think there will certainly be more pressure to come up with an ending to rival the different direction the tv series has taken. I just hope he doesn't die :(

I think the ending will be mostly the same though.
And thus, I use the difference in the TV series and the books to see which plotlines are important or not :look

Spoiler if you haven't seen the show/read the books:
Like the fact that Sansa is in Winterfell. That means nothing crucial will happen with her in the Eyrie. And no Dornishmen or Ironborn on their way to Daenerys.
And, thank heavens, no fake Aegon :|
And Stannis dies as well. Serves him right for BURNING HIS OWN DAUGHTER :| Although that can't happen in the book can it, the daughter is back in Castle Black isn't she? Or is it Dragonstone? :look

I like them both too, and probably will watch the season 6 waiting for the book to came out... but even if they are taking two different ways there will be some spoilers for the book (really strange that a tv adaptation have spoilers for the books :p )

Yeah... unless we're talking completely separate endings...
I kinda missed the fake Aegon side story with Tyrion in the tv-series though.. the books end before that is played out.

Tyrion met fake Aegon before he even made it to Mereen, so that story can't proceed like the books. It can still happen of course, but I hope not :look

I just don't like anyone stealing Daenerys' chance :look

And anyway, is he the real Aegon? I highly doubt it. If he had been the real deal, I might like him...

you want to see Dany on the iron throne? ;)
I think he might be the real Aegon, if the dragon has three heads Dany is one, this Aegon is the second and I just hope the third is not Jon snow as some theories suggests... the sigil of the house is a three headed dragon and it surely there is a reason for that (In my opinion)...

Well, of the candidates left Daenerys is about the only choice left... Except Stannis and he is stuck in the winter up north, and his days are probably numbered..

I am thinking that Tyrion and Jon Snow becomes the other two dragon riders ^^
