    Anyone ever get the feeling...

Is the purpose of a fantasy book to get the knowledge as quickly as possible or to thoroughly enjoy it? When I tell a tale, usually I make the descriptions much shorter in order to speed along the adventure, but Robert Jordon's writing style was more like Tolkien with the flowery descriptions of...

    The Forsaken

I think you are correct in that the souls hit by balefire get reborn again into the world just like any other soul. Sure, they cannot be brought back by the Dark One with his transmigration, but they are still available to the general pool to be born again at some future time as someone's baby...

    Seanchan and Aes Sedai

I'm not so sure. I think that the world is tired of war at present. Plus with such a shortage of food, currently.... many people will be struggling just to survive until the next harvest. Finding seeds just so that a next harvest happens will also be critical.

    Why the Wilder Hate?

While there certainly is some condescension that goes along with the "wilder" term, and Eluial makes a fine point of looking at it from a tower Aes Sedai perspective, I think you guys are forgetting some of the basic goals of the White Tower. Women of the White Tower view themselves as...

    Life after Wheel of Time.

I always thought it would be fun to write "The Travels of Jain Farstrider"

    Death

A lot of the deaths were sad though. I thought Rhuarc dying which under compulsion, Bela (of course), and Siuan were pretty moving. I especially was bothered by Siuan. She was one of my favorite powerful women in the series (and Cadsuane). But when Min saw Siuan's aura with a "maybe twist" I...

    Death

I guess the manner of Egwene's death was a bit disconcerting. After reading book after book of wise people telling Egwene to do things carefully, or she would have an excellant chance of killing or stilling herself, I figured that eventually she'd just "do what she wants" and end up dead. Her...

    Repetition of the Last Battle

I don't think so. I think the memories that you're referring to are Lews Therin's memories. Rand didn't have memories from his every incarnation as the Dragon throughout all of eternity.

    Rand and Moridin

Re: Rand's new body Maybe I missed something, but how in the heck did Rand get to switch bodies with Moridin? I know that they were connected via the Balefire, but I don't see how this occurred exactly. Any ideas? Did Alivia do something to facilitate it at all?

    New Stuff Found upon Re-read

I only got through the Fires of Heaven so far on this re-read prior to the last book coming out. :P

    The Song of the Tuatha'an

I always felt like it was referring to the seed songs sung by the Aiel. They would sing, and the Ogier would sing a separate song, and the Nym would dance in sort of a growing ceremony back in the Age of Legends.

    The Song of the Tuatha'an

I've always felt that a band of tinkers would eventually enter the waste and visit Rhuidian after Rand had opened it up. They do have Aiel blood, so they could still use the columns if they still work that is.

    Book signing experiences & answers / non-answers

Sorcha, yes I enjoyed meeting you, and the event itself quite a bit. Would you be so kind as to share your question and answer with the others?

    Book signing experiences & answers / non-answers

Hey guys, I know that you are all probably feverishly reading through the new book, but I recently attended a book signing in which Brandon Sanderson, Harriet, and her assistant Maria were there. If you've never attended such an event, let me just tell you that they are a lot of fun. Sanderson...

    New Stuff Found upon Re-read

Been awhile since I've posted, but I'm currently in the Shadow Rising, and it struck me as to part of the answer for one of the prophecies. "Twice dawns the day his blood is shed. Once for mourning. Once for birth." Rand is a warder. I believe Alanna will die at a critical point, and Rand...

    New Stuff Found upon Re-read

You can't really take into consideration Rand's knowledge at that point. He does things without thinking, and sometimes doesn't even understand what he just did. That entire fight in tel'aranrhiod between him and Ishamael was a perfect example. Ishi wasn't trying to kill him with the power...

    New Stuff Found upon Re-read

Aulrick, a lot of stuff you post sound silly to us (like the Dark One dying and this being the LAST battle instead of A last battle). But we don't make fun of you for that, or at least I don't. Please be a little nicer even if you don't agree.

    New Stuff Found upon Re-read

Gundam, I think alot of us thought that the true power would somehow need to be utilized to touch the Dark One. However; your theory brings something new that I never considered. I never thought that Callandor could be a sa'angreal amplifying the True Power while a normal sa'angreal could not...

    New Stuff Found upon Re-read

This is why I like you Morrighan. You don't just want to read and find out. To me, I think that with the buffer gone, then someone wielding Callandor can basically draw unlimited power well beyond what that channeller is capable of holding without being burned out. Maybe it's intended...
