I'll admit that the whole Moiraine and Thom thing caught me somewhat off guard, but I'll also say that I saw a few signs, thought about it and then was like "Nah, he doesn't like Aes Sedai, and in the 4th book, he wasn't pleased at being brought into "Aes Sedai plots""
I doubt that it would be possible to bring Mesaana back to her mind (I doubt that Aes Sedai would want to anyway) and keep her shielded, but I think that it could be worth a try to try and gain knowledge.
The only parts of Fires of Heaven that I really liked were the ones of Elayne, Nynaeve, and Birgitte traveling and Nynaeve capturing Moghedien, and Rand battling Rahvin.
I think that it was easier for Robert Jordan to just stick to the same language, and because everyone spoke the Old Tongue back in the day, then since everyone back then spoke the same language as everyone else, it should make sense that everyone should all speak normal (?) tongue now.
I definately think that ToM felt more like Robert Jordan because I think that it tied off most of the loose ends, and I'm pretty sure that was high up on Robert Jordan's to do list for the 14th book.
I'd want to be an Aes Sedai or an Aiel. My tomboyish nature is probably more suited to the Aiel, but I'd want to channel saidar and the White Tower seems fun. (if you don't include getting in trouble)
I think I'd be a green or brown, although the brown is more likely. My mom and brother have read the series, and whenver I ask, they don't even think and just say brown.... The quizzes that I've taken have said either brown or green.
Nynaeve has always been a favorite, as well as Elayne, Rand (although recently, not so much), Mat, Birgitte, Aviendha, and Lan. I can connect with Nynaeve, and Rand's just so typical that you can't help liking him. Elayne is awesome because she knows what she wants and she will do almost...
My favorite minor characters include Amys, Birgitte, Gareth, Melaine, Bair, and Sorilea. I like the Aiel Wise Ones because I think they're funny, but they have a calmness about the that doesn't seem too strict, and they are outspoken and don't let anyone tread on them. And Birgitte and Gareth...
I enjoy all moments, but my favorites are those between Nynave and Lan, Elayne and Nynaeve, Elayne and Rand, Rand and Aviendha, and Mat in the later books.
When Moiraine asked the Wise Ones about going through the rings, didn't they say that the visions in them were just possible visions of the future, and that it because things are always in motion, it can change?
Hello, my name is Aurora, and I've been into the Wheel of Time for about 2.5 years now, although I didn't consider joining any of the websites connected to the Wheel of Time until earlier this month. I'm also on Dragonmount, and I'm looking forward to being part of the tarvalon.net community.
